What's up fellas, tonight as it states in the title was my first runs at a legal track and launching my car. I've launched my car on pavement but never at the track so I got to see how different it is altogether. Now this is my first time so don't bust my balls too much:

First run against my buddy in the yellow 05 Stang GT

60' 2.627
1/8 9.217
1/4 13.712
MPH 108.30

Second run against a V6 Stang

60' 2.195
1/8 8.536
1/4 12.992
MPH 110.72

Third run against the same yellow Stang

60' 2.468
1/8 8.77
1/4 13.231
MPH 111.20

PS: I didn't post RT's because I wasn't going for a good one because I really didn't care

r/t's dont matter anyway. which track did you go to, atco or cecil? And how come you only ran it 3 times, looking at the difference between the 2nd and the 3rd runs, you def could have improved beyond a 12.9, you shoulda ran it again!

You should be able to crack 1.8's all day on ****ty tires, but thats if your t-case allows you to. LOL.

sounds like a normal first time at the track to me. just spend a couple more days out there and you'll be watching those times drop fast.

those 60's suck keep on practicing 1.8's should be normal if you lucky maybe a 1.6

his t case should be fine its a rs and a 06 so that should be fine, its the 03 cars that you have to worry about but its smoking the clutch id worry about

+1 on the clutch sucking ass. I heard taking out the restrictor pill and putting in a SS clutch line will make it last longer. I didn't worry about that until my clutch was slipping though.

On another note though Peteyturbo has something like 150+ launches on the stock clutch

is driving on the track a completly different world, i hate when people say 1st time at the track you still have driven the car before

It's 100% different at the track though.
You have a helmet, a bright ass tree, and all kinds of people watching you.

its not different, but you're seeing your times, so you can see what works or not, the first time out you get 3 runs if your lucky, thats not enough time to learn what works and what doesnt...

Well so next time will be better, I see it being pretty quick seeing as how .1 on the bottom is .2 on the top.

that car is fast man, just get the launch down and youll be doing well.. be careful of that clutch tho.

Thanks for the comments. There is room for improvement no doubt. The first run I didn't even launch it, just accelerated like there was a traffic light in front of me. The second and third I slipped the clutch really bad trying not to shock the drivetrain.

And to MissDSM, I don't have a VIP pass to the track. I can only run as many time as I can before the staging lanes close up.

my first time at cecil i got like 4-5 runs in... just try to get there early or go on some day other than a friday

^^And that was on a friday. but yeah, wednesdays they're dead, at least usually. You can get at least 3 runs in on a Friday when theyre packed. Meh, I might go next wednsday. My cars finally running good and Id liek to see the difference this turbo made, cause it doesnt feel any faster, itll just depend on whether I can talk someone into going with me lol

Ditch the HFC and get a custom tune and learn to launch better. The car should be trapping 113-114mph.
