Saturday

The surf looks good on the cams. Seems to be a lot of people out. I checked ny spots too, but they dont seem to be much better. NJ or NY would be fine to paddle out in today

SURF:
4-5 ft. - shoulder to head high and fair-good conditions.

Cleaning up swell on tap. Plus sets are likely.

NEW JERSEY'S REGIONAL OVERVIEW:
E/S swell mix in the water this morning. This looks largest to northern locations. The surf looks like it is on the fade to southern spots but there still is plenty of surf. Winds are NW 20-25kts and expected to go WNW -

Today sounds really fun, surprisingly.

I surf in Beach Haven (LBI) a few times a year when I stay over at my friend's place down there, but yeah, mostly between Manasquan and Sandy Hook.

I'm jealous of you Monmouth people, that must be really nice. I love surfing in Deal, it can handle some solid swell, and the limited crowd factor (usually at least) is good too.

hah, I used to be a little sponger before I surfed. Until about age 10 when I started surfing I used to bodyboard and was pretty good until surfing took over. The speed you get on a surfboard is just a whole different league

But sponging can be fun. When it gets really dumpy and hollow during high tides it can still be fun to just try and launch off sections!

Yeah I am at Monmouth. This is my last semester. If your ever up in deal, throw me a PM. Or anyone else who is up this way, throw me a PM.

I will also be down in Lavallette (sp?) a lot this summer. GF is living in her beach house for work/etc. So I will be looking for some surf spots.
