I was fortunate to have my parents pay for my college education, but not so much in her situation. She worked her ass off to have a good education and has made out in the end with where she works now, but she's going to be paying for it for about the next 8 years or so.

eh school loans suck, but it's one of the better debts to have (all things considered), usually a pretty low rate and they can't take back what they gave you.

Made some killer ribs last night, used General Tao's sauce instead of BBQ sauce. My temps were really inconsistent and on the low side yesterday due to the weather. The ribs came out fine they just needed another hour and a half. I'll be purchasing a Smokin-it #2 electric smoker after Christmas.

I was checking out that masterbuilt unit at HD for $90, you could probably replace the element and cord with the smoke hollow replacement element kit which is $50. but at that point your only saving like $30 over a brand new one.

tuition loans are big money scams. Its a debilitating debt to place someone, fresh out of school, in.

I was lucky enough to pass by college and get a job with my good looks. becky paid out of pocket for her LPN and RN schooling at BCCC and left with zero debt, while some of her coworkers with the same education are 100k.

If you're going to a good (expensive) school, you better be going for something they've got an edge with.

I talked to one guy about it and mentioned that it doesn't have a cord, and if they could do any better on it, he said that was why it's priced they way it is. I mentioned it's an electric smoker and with out a power cord it's pretty useless. he just said yup and walked way. (Granted you could use it to cold smoke cheese and fish, but thats not what it was intended to be)

I haven't found much negativity on the smokin-it brand. From what i've found It seems to be a knock off of the smokin-tex which is a knock off of the cook-shack.

I'm also going to call my parents with my christmas list. 1. Gopro Hero3 Black(above butdget but maybe they will let me pay the difference myself or just do a combo Christmas/Birthday thing), 2. Electric smoker(again, pay difference or combo gift since I want the larger version) 3. Decent set of pots/pans can be had for around $300 4. Decent small set of knives.

Ken that's what Heather became, an RN. I wish she did it all at DCCC, but she ended up doing it at Neuman. She now works at Temple University Hospital. Proud of her work, just sucks what she has to go through in the end. Luckily she had scholarships to help her out with it.

Just took one of my adj finals and I can honestly say my professor shouldn't be teaching.. anywhere. Half the questions were opinion.and the other half was material we neither covered in class, or could be found in the text. Wtf.
