fuel pressure dips below 1300 = bad

once you install fuel internals the car at its leanest point will only drop down to on average 1600 with full bolt ons = good !

Now ive been risking it for a few months, but the one thing that helps me out just a little bit, is that fact i have a Catted DP...

so basically ill be preventing ( zoom zoom boom ) for the long run, and ill be gaining more PPOOWWAA !!! lol hahaha
Haha okay now I understand. I was thinking to myself... why do you need a built engine to go stage 2? It all makes sense now. Is this only for your generation MS3? My buddy has a new gen and I don't think he messed with his fuel pump at all. Anyway, I'm excited for you.. can't wait to hear the reviews once you get it all done.

well i got the AP Saturday, but my only concern is how can I monitor my fuel pressure without installing a tune ???

is that possible with the AP ??

my concern is that i still idk is there is a tune on the car already, or if its the stock map, or what ??? - im hesitant to do anything with it until i get that question answered.

Well Saturday I also attended PSI Proformance DYNO DAY, and put the Mazda on the Rollers. I was Dyno'd back in September @ R/T so about 6 months ago...

The only mods between then and now are -

Muffler Delete from my TBE - loud lol
Sway Bars
Brakes
Stereo Weight removed = 100 lbs total

@ R/T = 270 WHP ( Unknwn Gear Pull )

@ PSI = 290 WHP ( 4th Gear - Dyno Jet )

idk what number is realistic, so i dont let myself ill assume 270 for now... either way hoping to hit 300 WHP with a protune...

i bought the Cobb AP, and realized that the money im putting into the car could be put to better use, so i sold the AP a few days later...

the car was starting to develop little noises that were driving me nuts, and the suspension was shot - the ride was not comfortable for passengers in my car. So i realized the mazda just wasnt gonna hold up for what i needed in the long run. I was 9,000 $ flipped on the mazda and the payment was getting annoying cause i was paying about 250$ more a month then it was worth.

So I went shopping, and thanks to some EPIC Rebates going on this month - I made a move !

I now am happy to say im back in a vehicle that I truly feel comfortable in...

2012 Dodge Ram Express !

Black w/ Chrome Clad 20'' Rims - Factory Dual Exhaust

Ill be starting a new thread, and pics will be taken today...

I can afford the payments no problem, for what I do for work that has never been a problem...

if im gonna pay X amount a month, I want something worth it. The rebates the dealer had got me out of mt bad equity on the mazda...

plus im way more comfortable in a bigger vehicle anyway, I didnt realize how practical my Silverado was for my daily needs until i got rid of it...

I dont think you guys understood his problem with the mazda. He could easily afford the payments, its just to him the mazda wasn't providing what a car worth $xxx a month should be providing, so he got the Ram because thats the perfect car for him

gas, and payments have never been a problem for me... but the way doug put it is fair to say. The mazda in the long run wouldnt be practical for me as a daily vehicle, except for wanting hit boost and go fast lol...

for what I do for work, and my daily needs - a trucks fits me better...

im happy and thats all that matters

Good luck with the new truck. The only truck that would sway me from my Mazda is the Ford SVT Raptor.

Btw, finished my protune at R/T tuning today- I didn't hit 300whp like you were seeking but got close. 297whp/320wtq. Pulls like a freight train- I want to have a friend drive my 335xi on the hwy next to the mazda to see what will happen from a 50mph pull. From the feel of it the Mazda might have the edge.

well discovered that the truck prefers 89 over 87, and it makes a huge difference. its amazing how far a little reading can go...

plans for the truck are simple bolt ons, and some minor comfort accessories...

Intake
Magnaflow Y pipe - stock on is extremely restictive...
Flowmaster muffler swap - truck has factory duals...
Front Window Tint
Remote Start
Spray In Bed Liner
Billet Grille
Sylvania Silverstar Ultra's - Lows / Fogs
KMC XD Series 20'' Rims - down the road...
