Caldwell's 2012 Dodge Ram ( pg 12 )

I have been on the site for awhile posting here or there, but have never really been able to tune a car of my own. I am constantly on here reading about other member's build's feeling pure envy

I went out shopping today, and found what im looking for...

2008 MazdaSpeed 3

It has 37K on the clock, and does have some bolt ons already which will save me alot of money, but im not 100% on everything the car has. Before I post what the car has I wanna have the car looked over to see what was all done. I am waiting on what my insurance rate will be, and I will be picking it up tomorrow !!!

I wanna take it to a shop well versed in the Speed3. What shops are reputable in the ( Delco, Montco, Philly ) region...

bur for now here is a teaser...

really excited to see what this can do !!!!!

Im going to need some help for sure, and I would def like to become a more known member. im looking forward to coming out to some meets !

PSI PROformance can help ya out if needed. My buddy is real big into these cars also and can help you out with any questions if your close to philly or philly suburbs. He had a fully bolted one that he did all the work on, and is now going with a big turbo setup.

So after having driven it around for the day, I can say that im quite happy with the purchase. This car is retarded fast compared to anything I have ever driven before. The reviews of this car don't lie - ( HOLY TQ STEER !! ) lol. This also is my first time owning a car with a turbo, the pull from like 3500 rpm and up in 1st / 2nd is just awesome ! Whoever owned it before me like I said, did put some work into the car. So far here is what I am able say it has for sure...

CP-E CAI

BORLA CBE

DASH HAWK - What exactly is this capable of doing ? - ( EDIT - Google so informative )

TURBOSMART BOV/RCV

Mazdaspeed STS

Im thinking that it may have a Test Pipe possibly. I dont think that it has a DP cause the exhaust note doesnt sound quite deep enough I think. Now I could be a noob with this next statement, so please be easy. The car on a cold start smokes ( from exhaust ) for about 30 seconds then goes away. Im not sure if it has the TP or DP, but im assuming the CAT removal would cause that to happen, or the car just runs rich ? The carbon build up on the tip is pretty noticeable. Im guessing its either of the two thoughts I have would make sense, so maybe some of you guys might be able to help me ? Also Im assuming the car has a simple ECU flash tune, unless the DASH HAWK is a tuner, or simply a monitoring unit for vehicle parameters. The last question I have for the car is that it has some digital gauge thing next to the steering wheel. Idk if its a boost read out or not, I honestly cant tell so Ill take a pic and let you guys guess...

once I get the money up, I absolutley will be buying a COBB AP for the car...

*** More reading has prevailed !!! Im going to say the combo of ( CAT Removal / Condensation ) causes the white smoke I was concerned about...

Dash Hawk

Digital Gauge - Im guessing boost ?

Heading to Harrah's in Chester tomorrow night for a mini photo shoot, with my friend's " new to him " 08 Mazda 3.

* Also having taking all of 7.6 seconds to find info on the dashhawk... I am def assuming the car has an open source tune - ( please correct me if thats wrong )...

now its just a matter of getting it looked over, and possibly a run on the dyno just to see where im @ now power wise. I dont really have any intentions of going beyond stage 2, but you never know do you lol...

Very nice man. We've been talking but I hadn't actually come across the pictures of the car until now. Looks like you started off with a great platform.

On my RX8 that comes on when I lose traction to the rear wheels.. Or, if i hold down the DSC button for 10 seconds. Its the Traction Control light. I turn mine off whenever I get in the car but in a FWD car that seems unwise.
