2 bucket washing technique is the best way I've seen to prevent them. I don't bother myself and wouldn't you know it my car has swirls ;)

I use the 2 bucket technique as well as rinsing the sponge off after every panel regardless.

BTW, speaking as someone who was a pro detailer for 2 years for a couple dealers selling cars at the Manheim Auto Auction, I can say you're the first I've seen in a while who I wouldn't be afraid to let touch my car both in terms of technique and product selection. I would happily compound and polish a customer car as necessary but I only clay my own because I want the clear coat to last as long as possible at the expense of shine. That's not to say the cars can't take the polishing... Just not too many times ;) Still looks pretty good though since the car is a 3 times a year waxed, once a year clayed garage queen. Do you have any idea what the little black dots are that seem to get on the cars around here (but never did in Manheim) that are damn hard to get off? I would guess fly poop or something like that.

Thank you so much for the compliment man, means a lot

I know exactly what you are talking about, they look like really small "Snow caps" candy without the snow lol? I am still baffled as to where they come from, I assumed trees but the 2 cars I did recently that had them are parked in wide open driveways. They are very annoying to remove!

I don't let anyone do anything to my cars but I'd let Nick detail it, and I HATE when people touch my car.

Thanks! I'm very much the same way with my own car, there's less than a handful of people I'd trust it to, and I treat all the cars I do like my own

No prob I always assumed they were common knowledge and I was just in the dark but yeah, the little snow caps. though mine are usually just flat dots, rarely are they raised like that. Although sometimes they have the snow cap and then you take that part off and the little dot is left and that's the part that refuses to come off. Oh well, I just do my best to keep up with them. I need a black car so you can't see them as well.

Wow that looks great. How far detailing go in improving rough paint? My 240s paint is pretty rough and has major sunspots/fading on the roof and a little on the hood (its black). Is it possible to restore paint that far gone?

Thanks man! If it just looks hazed, there is still hope but if it's blistered and look like the clear coat is gone then it's too late

Great work man.

Mind posting a step by step with materials used, or is that proprietary?
