The MAFT Gen 2 is able to tune like the APEXI Super AFC (+ or - 60% fuel adjustment) but it does not have the standalone function which you can eliminate your MAS that theTranslator PRO has to offer. However you can upgrade your MAS to the GM sensor (3.00" or 3.50" inlet). This unit is also fully digitital until the previous model.

so as long as am running a gm maf am cool? Does the gen 2 do speed density? If i get a keydiver chip can i control timing w/ it?

Sorry I don't believe the MAFT Gen 2 offers speed density. Only the MAFT Pro does. As for the timing, this unit currently does not support that.
