End Result... Stack O' Dimes... Had to have a little fun with this side too... Just a few teasers. Should be able to have the rest of the pics up tomorrow or Monday... Plan is... Seal/Caulk on Monday, Prep/Primer Tuesday, Paint Wednesday, Hangover on Thursday, Re-assemble & Roll out on Friday... If that plan holds, I'll be amazed

Getting Closer... Got everything buttoned up, welds ground down panels sanded, body work done (shaved the Name Plate on the firewall, cleaned up and molded the hood pins, etc...). Got the seams in primer, tomorrow is Caulking and Sealer/Primer. Along with the rest of the taping and firewall prep.

Update with TONS of Pics
Today was a huge day... I saw the car as together as I've seen it for over a year. Spent all day today Taping, prepping, priming and shooting the Engine Bay and Re-Clearing/Attempting to save the Carbon Hood. I'll let the pics speak for themselves...
Extensive Tape Job... Carbon Hood Sanded Down... Ready to be shot In Primer... 1st Junk basecoat... 1st Coat of OEM Barcelona Red Pearl Then we got tricky Notice all the sparkly stuffs in the air... And On the Clear Coat for the hood... And for the final results, After 2 coats of Clear.... And Final results of the hood, unfortunatly the cracks didn't come out like I'd hoped but it looks good nonetheless... Enjoy! I worked hard all day, I'm sticky with clear coat, and my back is ****in killin me. It's New Years Eve.... I'm going to get drunk. HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYBODY!!!

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I didn't drink as much as I'd planned but hey, 2009 has been a better year already!
I was considering putting some time in today but then into watching the NHL Winter Classic and lost all motivation. I'll be back at it tomorrow, it should be able to hold it's own weight tomorrow, back on the wheels. My plan never was to put the motor in this week, just to have it mobile again by the weekend. So, no $30 for me, haha. I wasn't gonna hold you to it anyway Kevin, I just thought it was an awesome gesture! There's still a bunch of OEM stuff I'm waiting for to come in, a few aftermarket things as well. As well as having to re-assemble the whole engine bay (brake booster, both master cylinders, fuel filter, etc...) and interior to boot I'm definitley extremely pleased with the way it came out, and with my decision to scuff down and paint over the prop. valve and brake/fuel hard lines. It looks sooo clean!

Bay looks great, same way I did mine years ago. Did you try fixing the hood with super glue? It bonds with the resin and makes for a very good repair.

Stefan, I never even know that. haha! It's a bit late now but I'll definitley keep that in the back of my mind in case I ever decide to attempt to repair it again.

Yeah its definitely a bit late as you'd have to get rid of the clear around the areas that you have to repair.

Thanks as always guys!
The first bascoat, we called a "Junk Coat" was literally a hybrid of leftover paints that we had laying around that matched pretty damn close to the OEM color. We used that just to get some material down because both pieces were in bare metal. The 2nd coat was the OEM Barcelona Red Pearl and the clear was Transtar. All the colors were Akzo Nobel a.k.a. Sikkens I got the hood, fenders, headlights and bumper on today and I got the suspension bolted back up. Tomorrow I've got to put the inner fender liners, carpet, seats, harnesses, and plastics back on and it's ready to roll over to get the motor put back in. I'll probably wait a few weeks for that just to make sure everything is in order so it's smooth In/Out procedure.
