i used to work right next door to MRC. Did a few of their marketing video's for their tradeshow's. also did the promo for one of their simulators. Cool stuff.
It's crazy how that company got started and was the only source from japan for a long time.

I sold my traxxas rustler a while back...it was pretty hot. I had a brushless motor and a custom chassis with all beefed up components from a gas car...it was pretty fast. My son just turned 7 so i may get us some new ones for some summer fun

mrc's headquarters is in Edison NJ. we shared the warehouse with them, OMG it was soo cool to be in a warehouse full of models and RC stuff. I got a few cool models from them. But they also thru outso many old models and toys that they could have made bank on if they sold them on ebay. like old school aliens figurines and what not...

I think I have the fastest rc car i've personally ever seen:

Hpi Super Nitro
Wolf Pack Racing Big Block Conversion Mounts
Trinity Monster .27
THS Tuned Exhaust
Hpi Heavy Duty 2 speed (Tallest Gearing Available)
Hpi Racing Shocks
Full Graphite Upper Deck
Aluminum Steering Arms
Aluminum Front and Rear Upper Arms
Aluminum Hubs
Aluminum Belt Drives
Hpi Fiber brake disc
Venom Speed Meter
Hitec Digital Servos
Futaba 3ptk Transmitter

+lots of custom work to make it all go together.
The car has done 98mph on radar and will smoke all four tires through the second gear shift. I'm sure if i could get even taller gearing it would go faster, but honestly the thing is useless as it is. The friction created between the the gears at those speeds normally bends the teeth, and youll get about 2-3 top speed runs in before they just melt together.

Heres some old pics of it, I'll get some new ones when i get some batteries for my camera.

I also have:
Hpi Savage SS

Ofna Ultra Lx
