Mailed Citation Arrival Time?

I was involved in a fender bender and issued an 'unsafe speed for conditions' citation by a PA State Trooper that responded to the scene because he was passing it. The incident received an incident number, but was declared a "non-reportable" crash. I was told that the citation included a ~$107 fine, and would be mailed to my temporary PA address, which I provided to the officer.

He gave me a little speech about how I shouldn't ""forget about it"" because that could lead to a warrant for my arrest in MD, lic. suspension, etc, etc. It's now been 21 days since the event, and I've received nothing at the given PA address, or at my address in MD, which the officer has from my DL. Should I be worried that something got lost in the mail and there's a lic. suspension waiting for me at home? Or does Harrisburg just take forever to send these things out?

Call the PA State police and check to see if a summons was issued since the crash was detremined to be non-reportable the disposition of a summons may have changed too.

As far a how Harrisburg does business I have no idea since Im a Jersey boy myself.

keep me posted

It seems the only way to check on such a thing is to ask the trooper if he ever issued a citation. Left a message for him today. Of course, if he had somehow forgotten, he has now been reminded but better than it being lost in the mail and me going to court because of it.

No word from the trooper and no mail, 11 days later. Do I just give up and assume it doesn't exist? Bug the officer with more messages?

Good enough for me, i guess. But jesus, don't give a kid a scary speech about the consequences of ignoring a citation, and then not actually issue it. Ah well.
