My STI tuned to 393whp today on 93oct
#s are from a Mustang dyno and this would be about 420+whp on a Dynojet. Thanks to Phil from Element Tuning and Andrew/Chad Block from WagnerMotorsports and CBRD. Car turned out some very impressive HP #s, I just wish I had the balls to get a C16, 500whp tune. Nothing like breaking all 4 tires loose in 3rd gear.;) Pics of my car can be seen here: http://users.rcn.com/wgknestrick/ Bill

Yeah, the ride is this car is how you say...scary. I'm hoping to get the video up this weekend of the dynoing. Congrats Bill! Sorry Cliff things didn't turn out so well with your car. I know everything will turn out ok in the end.

Congrats on the numbers!
What kind of tranny mods do you have and how do you plan on launching. This always becomes a problem/concern in AWD vehicles where we must find the balance btw spinning all 4 tires out of the hole, slipping the clutch or bogging or blowing things up.

Pretty nice numbers. FP 30 series turbos are very very nice.
Are you saying you spin all 4 in 3rd gear now? Now hit the track and lets see what all that power translates into.

Congrats, those are some great numbers. The STi trans seems to be pretty robust, but I'm also curious what your plans are for launching. Good luck!

The STi driveline and tranny is damn strong to begin with so I dont think that will be a problem unless its abused. Chad is a great guy but didnt actually have anything to do with this tuning session as Phil tuned all our cars. Props to Bill for a sick ass setup and a badass streetcar.

Bring that video over, we'll throw it on the surround sound with the Velodyne 15" kicking full bore and see if I can't get rid of my downstairs neighbors.

harrier-like fur sizzle.
It was soooooo loud, the vid really doesn't capture the piercing high pitched whine of the turbo. 4" inlet that you can stick your arm through doesn't muffle much. It still boggles my mind how much air these engines move. You can feel all the air being drawn into the engine just by standing 10ft away from the car on the dyno. It almost is a small wind. Then there is the 10000btu blast you get from the exhaust after a run. This is the first time I've been truely satisfied with my car.
