Best Buy Service Plan on IPod.
I bought the iPod when it came out in 2004 (5/04 to be exact) I bought the plan which gave me 4 years of SERVICE (they didn't have replacement plans at this time) My iPod is as old as dirt and all scratched up. Since its been 4 years, the battery is finally on its way out. I want it fixed. My question is: Are they going to give me a new ipod one or replace my battery? Do you think they even still make parts for a four year old ipod? Someone must have had this issue in the past on here.

They will probably try to replace your battery.

When i got my ipod, about 3 or so years ago, I also purchased the warranty (at that point it was a replacement warranty) and when i got the un-happy folder icon i went and took it back, and they handed me a brand new one. A few months later that one got the un-happy folder icon and i took it back again, at that point they no longer sold the old B&W screened ipods. SO they said I could wait a week or so for the new 30GB video ipod, or I could pay $50 for a 60GB photo ipod. SO I bought the 60GB and with that they said I had to buy a new warranty for it. They also said that this warranty i bough wasn't a replacement one and that it would have to be sent out for service if i had to take it back.
Soooooo long story short. they will probably take it from you, and send it to get fixed, and you will be ipodless for about 4-6 weeks I imagine. Sorry Pearl.

Just to let you know... all warranties are pretty much a scam. They are considered free money by all stores. Thats why they push them so hard on you. They will probably just mail your ipod out to a local repair place, that will swap out the battery for a few bucks.
