I'm tempted to do that this summer as well.
I wouldn't trust OBX/ebay for a part like that.

My buddy put one in his evo. We all told him not to but he was on a budget. Ran it at mid 400whp for only a tiny but and finally it just blew apart. Once i actually saw it you could see how bad it was made. Another legitimate company has to make a good LSD for your car thats reasonably price or maybe you can find one on the forums?

Yea seth, i was skeptical about it so idk if ill actually do it. I couldnt justify spending more that what the OBX costs however so i doubt theres other options, ill have to just keep checking the forums.

It's just one of those ebay ticking time bomb parts. Doesn't matter the power, one could last for a few thousand miles or could fail on the 1st drive on a 100whp civic.

Can't you get the gm lsd?

I took a test ride in an 04 ion RL and it seemed quick, but never really had a chance to drive it hard and open it up.

Nah, the OBX LSD is only $400 but im pretty skeptical about putting that in my transmission.

I believe GM uses the quiafe LSD, which is around $1100 new. I wouldn't spend that type of money for LSD, so ill probably just keep an eye out for a used one or just do rotated mounts. With the Stage 2, im honestly suprised how quick it is for a stock car. From a roll this thing pulls pretty damn hard

$900 is not a lot of money for a quality LSD, and its one of those things thats so often overlooked when modding a car, but isnt really appreciated until you do finally upgrade it. Im all about saving money wherever possible, but your car is pretty new- its not like there are Ion transmissions to be had for $250. If the dif you put in it causes the tranny to go.. that'd suck. If it were my car Id get a legit lsd and have it professionally installed.

If OBX cant make a header for an Integra that fits properly, I sure as hell dont trust them to make an LSD. I can think of better ways to light $400 on fire.

These F35 trannies are very easily found all over the place. Typically you can get a non-lsd one for $500 and a lsd trans for around $1000.

This one was mostly stock with a catback and a short shifter...prolly didn't help that the dealer went with me and I was on a busy highway.

Id spend the money elsewhere...a good set of tires goes a long way.

Like i said, im not going to drop $1000 on LSD so if thats my only real option ill just pass, was just wondering if anyone had known of someone who actually ran it.

Yea, ive actually seen the non-lsd ones for as low as $300 so i know that it could be replaced easily. Guess it doesnt make sense to spend $400 for lsd and then another $300-$500 if it blows lol.

Thats what im starting to think, a set of rotated mounts and nice pair of tires would probably be more than adequate.

It definitely does but realistically it depends on what your goals and wants for the car are. Obviously a legit LSD is a good bit of money, money that can be spent elsewhere & enjoyed way before the true need for a LSD comes into play. If your never really looking to push it past a fun street warrior then i don't see the point in the $$ & times invested into the LSD.

Now you just need some wheels to match. It looks good though!

That would probably look pretty good. I've seen it come out well for other people. The Talon's alright I guess haha. I'm planning on getting it repainted in the next month or so if I can ever decide on a damn color haha.
