"Bastardized Neon"
i did a straight trade for this eclipse with a built and boosted 420A the car was called a bastardized neon on the probe forums and i kinda like that term so yeah... my car wasn't worth what this is, but this car needed a lot of love friday when i picked it up... here's just a few of the projects ive done with my weekend, and my end result... and a mod list... Bored .02 over JE Pistons Eagle Rods New Bearings Cometic HG ARP Studs New Valve Job done at rebuild Tubular Exhaust manifold Map Clamp tuned DSM 450cc Injectors Walbro 255 LPH pump 4g63t fuel rail with custom return line Forgiven Customs 2.5'' IC Pipes HKS SSQV Samco Blue Couplers Meghan Racing FMIC Apex'i S-AFC I 3'' Exhaust Catch Can NGK Plugs Spec Stage 4 modular Clutch Accell 8mm Wires 3'' DP Skunk2 coil overs Tokico Blue Shocks Prothane Motormounts Garrett T3/T4 Turbo .57 trim i got the car friday night and drove it maybe five miles before i decided to park it and tear stuff apart. project 1: figure out why the car shook so bad -solution, replace the right front inner tie rod end(it was scary how bad it was) project 2: what the hell is all of this vaccum line for? -solution, eliminate a few feet of hose, fix Several major vaccum leaks project 3: this car runs like ass -solution, eliminate the FMU (for now) spend hours adjusting the Afc so that the car runs decent... still runs a bit rich at idle, but we'll work on it, plug in a few unplugged sensors...etc.. project 4: my brakes a grinding -solution, replace front pads project 5: this car is slow as balls -solution, put some miles on the car, change the oil, change the plugs, install hallman MBC, and up the boost (8psi for now) i need to research what i can safely run project 6: this interior is disgusting -solution, scrub, vaccum, scrub project 7: the AFC keeps shutting off -solution, wire it better project 8: everything looks cluttered solution, re-route wide band wires, afc wires, mount things correctly etc.. project 9: i want to see more of that IC solution, cut the bumper you get the point... it was a long weekend but i drove the car for at least four hours today and it pulls nicely and drives amazing. and of course i cleaned the outside, no time for wax this weekend though.. enjoy! -Jason

It looks good but id take off that spec sticker on the sideskirt and paint the lower i/c piping black and get black couplers. Curious what kid of numbers it will put down dyno/track so keep us upddated when you decide to do that.

thanks guys...
the spec stickers will be coming off, but i ran out of wax and adhesive remover after peeling a few stickers off of the back window... the car will see the track and a dyno very, very soon... i'll dyno it this week if someone tells me where to take it as for the turbo wing, i've though about it...but i'm undecided... with it i'd look like a big 4g63 faker... and im not, i just want to have fun with something a little different can someone take one of the pics where the front mount is visable and size it into an avatar for me? my photo editing program just doesn't work right anymore

Good call on that trade. My suggestion for a wing would be to go wingless. Don't see that very often.

here is another pic, it dosnt show the front mount as good though
I think you should keep the stocker, or go w/o a spoiler Edit: Quote:

thanks dave!
after driving it the past few days i love it the only thing i disliek is not having power steering... but im working on that i think ill probably just keep the stock wing since the paint on the car is nearly perfect and anything else would require filling some holes, and some repaint

Not bad for a 420a, and its green so i think i can deal with it haha. What wheels are those? They are sick.

Be careful with the boost.... a 57 Trim with 450's and a 255 pump seems to spell over-running the injectors to me. but other than that the car looks awesome, i'd be interested to see what it puts down as well...
