I went sideways into cones when I hit 50...little to fast to enter a slalom.

here's some videos from warminster.

this is the long track but depending on the torque of your car, your lucky to reach 60mph. most of autocross is drivin in 1st and 2nd gear or just 2nd once you've launched.

does anyone have one of those gopro video cameras? i kind of want one...
it'd be sweet to have one in car and one mounted in your bumper and splice it together, not that i have any idea how to do that.

If you need a roller, LMK, I know someone very local who has one.

It is a lot of fun. My first time I thought I was going to do well in my class, but that didn't go as planned.

Yes. I I have hit my rev limiter in 2nd in my S2k on my old not so great street tires a bunch of times (65mph).. And expect to go faster with my current set-up... but I dont see a big heavy accord (likely on all-season tires) like his carrying enough speed through the corners to get much above 60 on an autox course.... but hey I could be wrong. Generally though, Autox courses are supposed to be set up so that the fastest cars don't get much above 80 if at all.

You are wrong, it is Not 80mph. They shouldn't get much above 60-65.

JustinLansdale has one I think (doesnt run autox tho), and Zillion also has one when he comes out to run locally.

Pre-register online here

If we don't reach the cap (we usually don't), you can register on site.

I agree, the prices are getting rediculous. Even $40 for what is 3 minutes (at most) of "track" time is insane.

hardly insane...

personally... $5* a month to race on a sanctioned track and become a better driver is well worth it. not to mention, its a hell of a lot of fun
