Had an Aging Room Havao Connecticut and an Antano Dark Corojo. Both were amazing, will be picking up more of both.

It was a turd. Didn't make it half way. Nice wrapper to add to the collection though.

Oh... I'm going to Cigar International Friday night if anyone wants to join.

Tried a Jose Blanco Senoria. I am going to give it another shot as I really enjoyed it but the draw wasn't that good and about half way through it started needing touch ups every 15-20 minutes.

Smoked a Rocky Patel Ocean Club this morning while sitting in traffic on 95 at cottman due to a jack knifed tractor trailer.

Every one I've had has been nothing but enjoyable, except for this one. Cracked on me the entire time, and burnt funny.

Local cogar shop that I drop coin in gave me one of these that he got from the release in Vagas. Won't be in stores until October. Wasn't all that impressed for what is likely going to be a $17+ stick.

Also picked up a box of Ave Maria. These are by far my favorite cigar to smoke on a regular basis... and they are under $6 each when I buy a box and CI gives me the usual discount.

You should check out cigarbid.com

Owned by CI, and prices are often cheaper than CI's website. Its been a long time since I've ordered from CI. Holts has better deals on a lot of the cigars I smoke, and CI doesn't carry my go-to maduro.

I checked that site out a few months ago. Never had any luck. Bid on a box today and its over at midnight... I'm winning. Maybe I'll get lucky and get it 1/2 off.

Back from the dead?

Got my humidor stocked with a few things. All started when I went to DR. Bought a few cigars on the resort (bad idea, all fakes), and really enjoyed the good ones at home when I got back. A few of what I have

La Aroma de Cuba el jefe
La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amore reserva
Cohiba Red Dot
San Cristobal Elegancia
Partagas Black
Perdomo noir
Perdomo gran-cru
Oliva Serie V
Oliva Serie V Melanio
Macanudo Cafe Hyde Park
Camacho Corojo
CLE Corojo
Punch Vintage
Gurkha Beauty
Gurkha 125th
Rocky Patel Connecticut

Really like the Corojo/Maduro/Habano ones so far. Have had a few good Connecticuts but I end up finding them too soft in the first half. Tend to buy my stuff in samplers to get some variety. Been smoking my least expensive sticks now and saving the good ones for the warm summer months when I can really enjoy them. Lucky i live right near Holt's and can get just about any cigar they have within an hour with local PU. They also have the Ashton warehouse built in

Also just ordered some Boveda 69% humidity beads. My humidity has been floating in the 60-65% range in the last few weeks and I can feel some of the stuff getting harder, example; bought 2 perdomo samplers, the new one has soft cigars, the ones ive had for 2 weeks are much firmer. Need to get it under control before I lose them all

Finishing up a Perdomo Champagne Noir. Very good smoke! They have the perdomos in a 4 pack sampler by me for $20 high saves about 12-15 from buying seperately. I haven't been disappointed with anything in the sampler, worth checking out!

Perdomo is a very well rounded brand. Love most of their smokes. Favorite smoke by them is the Silvio, and what I usually smoke is the Habano Connecticut. Cant stand the Lot 23's though.

Had a Perdomo Small Batch Series Corojo wrapper last tuesday. They're going to be released to the market soon. Smoke was great, corojo wrapper is still a little too sweet for me.

My Humidor is in a sad state. I can't get it back up to the sweet spot, and all my cigars are now dry and brittle. This winter was rough on my stogies. I am going to re-season it and hope I can save some of my smokes but I don't have high hopes.

EDIT: Decided I better have a plan B, so I just ordered this puppy!

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Will have it on Friday, will season it this weekend.

Had the Punch Vintage Maduro 6x60 yesterday, great burn and taste, also lasted on the longer side, about 1.5 hours total.

Got my new box today. I love that wood smell! Going to run out and get some distilled water and a sponge in a bit and begin the seasoning process.

It's pretty nice, the lid really seals well, much better than the box I have now. It's pretty heavy as well which I like.

What did you get?

I have a Whitetail Glass-top that I got from CI. Has good reviews, I tried the paper in the seal trick and the seal appears good, but with the 70* gel I was only ever getting 65 humidity. I've had 69% boveda packs in there for 2 days and it still hovers around 65 (was 66 this morning).

This is with an analog gauge that I calibrated against the salt. Just weird that it's not getting up to 70%. Ideally I want it at 65% but its strange how it's not reacting. Maybe I didn't season it enough, should probably do another distilled water wipe and keep the cigars in a ziploc for a few days.

Going to use 65% heartfelt beads next. I think I'm just opening the box too often or it's the winter spell. Do you keep your box in a cool or warm place?

Check my post from Weds and there is a link to what I ordered. My Box is actually kept in a cool place, but it used to stay exactly at 70%
