Looking for a shop to work on my 87 civic rt4wd wagon.

Looking for a shop in the Eastern half of PA to work on my 87 civic wagon.

I've contacted 24 or so shops, and everyone has an excuse. The Honda shops say they won't work on it because it has a Carburetor, and they only deal with FI motors. The General shops say that they don't work on Honda's. The Motorsports shops say they only work on Rally or race cars. I have cash in hand and am just looking to get my car back on the road.

Basically it needs the engine pulled, so the clutch can be replaced, a timing belt, water pump, tensioner, new mechanical fuel pump for the engine(already have), the fuel tank dropped, cleaned and fresh lines run. As well as a set of weber carbs installed.

Seems like the list is too long for all the shops that I've contacted to fix.

I'm about the point to ship the car to one of the TV car customizers. Counts Customs or something. Seems like all the shops in the local area want what is easy and aren't looking to make any money.

That's the biggest load of crap I have ever heard. What general shops are you going to that don't work on the most popular car brand on the road? That's like going to a computer repair shop and they tell you they don't work on Windows based PCs.

And Honda won't work on it because it has carbs? What kind of crap is that? That for the most part, makes the car a lot easier to work on because it has no ECU.

I think people just don't like Wagovans.

So you're just going to be a douche, and not offer anything useful. Thanks for the bump.

Where was I being douche? It was general curiosity because it makes no sense. Try not getting all defensive before you call people a douche. Maybe your defensive attitude is why no one will touch your car.

He was on your side and you call him a douche? I'm going to be a douche too then and offer no help because you're being insulting for no reason. It is a shame you have such an attitude problem since there are a few people on here (like me) who probably could have helped but feel no reason to help you now.

Now you are being douche for not offering any help or anything useful, isn't that right OP? JP is douche too right? So many douches on this board.

Oh an thanks for the backup Hatch Surfer. Had to comb my posts a few times to see if I really was being a douche. I still don't see it.

But if I learned anything from this thread it is this:

Don't buy a Honda. Shops won't work on them.

Could we possible sub "OP" for "OD," as in "Original Douche?" :O
