little update.

the last of the parts arrived at the shop. heads are out for machining, and the bottom end is nearly finished. euro tech said i should have it back by the 20th. amazing how fast they have worked.
ordered a new engine sound pad today since the oem was was trashed. interior work coming along, and they found 2 bucks under the seats, so the car is already paying me back.
rothsport billet short shifter arrives tomorrow.

still to do..

find a shop to redo my tach. i want something like mexico blue. the singer cars have colored tachs, and i love the look.
suspenion... i think sway bars, all new bushings, and of course coilovers are in store for the spring.
stereo/ interior finishing touches.. wrap the window sills, center console ebrake in suede to match the seats, and a new suede shift boot to fit the billet shifter.
stereo wise i want to keep it simple. i gotta find a way to hide the speakers behind the door cards. also debating hiding the headunit behind the panel where the passenger airbag currently resides, and putting a panel where the oem stereo is. might be too out of reach, but it would look clean as hell.
ordered a ton of stuff from rennspeed as well. new aluminum pedal boards, and pedals as well as a fire extinguisher and under seat mount.
still considering what im doing about the deck lid. ducktail or no wing.
want to do a HID kit as well. the right one is like 800 which sucks, but they look sick. same guy who makes the grille im going to use for the decklid no matter which one i choose
wheels are still the holdup. no idea what i want to do yet.

progress. should have some good engine porn pics to share by the end of the week. interior shots as well.

As far as I can tell tag heuer never made gauges, but they did make timing clocks for race cars. The clock in the singer cars isn't actually licensed either. Odd given how perfect everything else is.

Oh and thats before any exterior, suspension, wheels and tires. Also, when i get it back, there won't be a radio in it.

But it will be sweet. And snow should be fun. Nokian snow shoes are already on.

I have tons of pics of the build but he sent the i all to me as a PDF. Gonna make a whole binder on the rebuild. At least then the car will have some documentation to it.

Door cards are in. Window sills wil end up wrapped in Alcantara to match the seats. But stereo and interior work will come after I get it back.

interior is wrapped up for now.

in the coming days the shfiter will be swapped for a rothsport billet shifter ( and short shift kit with a golden rod). ultimately, some parts will be wrapped in alcantera to match the seat centers like the door sills, shift boot and e-brake. stereo to follow.

tomorrow my goal is to get the rolling tub to the shop to have the motor/trans reinstalled.

also turns out my steering wheel is more rare than i even thought. only 450 exist. saw one listed today for like 800 euros.

Trans met its new lsd today after all of the synchros were replaced and a general checkup/cleaning. I think second gear was replaced.
Trans tunnel needs to be adapted for my '92 transmission updates and lsd. Rothsport billet short shift kit and goldenrod linkage to be installed as well .

Car should be running saturday

Lol magnus has a lot more going on.

Decided if/when its time for a full respray, the drip rails and sun roof are getting scrapped. Just saw a pic of a flush mounted rear windshield... Lost keeps growing.

Showed my detailed and vinyl guy that photoshop above. He really digs the stripe and wants to make me them. Probably wait until spring though.
Been driving 4 other cars during the downtime, i might just hold onto this jeep all winter. Be a shame to finish the porsche and not drive it though.
Stereo first, then Wheels suspension and wing ( or no wing) are top priorities. I gotta find a headunit that doest look like nasa designed it, or just run my phone directly to an amp with a volume knob hidden somewhere. But that would rape my data plan...

Ideas appreciated on this one.

I could but i gave up on music storage years ago. I even considered an ipad mini, but the i just have a random iPad hanging out in the car. Don't want to create a mount or anything...
I ultimately gonna bring it by a friends shop. He mostly does high end builds for lambos and Fcars ( he has a maserati gt and a f430 Spyder). I just know I'll spend waaaay too much at his place haha.
