476 + Bad truck tires = F'd up car***updated

So I was driving south on 476, and I hear a loud boom, from the north bound side, and out of the corner of my eyes I see black debri coming across 2-3 lanes and over the median right into my car. Luckily it wasnt my windshield, it must've hit some other car cause the northbound side stopped. The police say that nobody saw what truck it was...lucky me. I'm glad it wasn't worse though, but what the f**k.

Apperently it was they re-tread, needless to say I'm pissed
Scared the s**t outa me too

********
Slight update
As far as updates...they haven't found the truck, but i was back up that way today...and I did get really lucky...because where the other car got hit the guardrail was all messed up and his whole front tire rim and all was still stuck in the guardrail! At least my car still drives. Man I hope that other guy is allright

Wow man, that really sucks. But I'd start praying to God now, b/c like it has been said, place that tire on a different part of your car, and it wouldn't have been a good time.

Damn man I'm sorry to hear that happened. I hate 476 (I am always on it going up to Scranton)

Like everyone said It could have been much worse, and I'm sure the car will look as good as new in no time.

I hate when something is damaged on your car and it's not your/anyones fault. Almost two weeks ago I woke and walked out to my car only to find a nice crease in my hood, who knows where it came from. But I'm now left having to pay for it to get fixed or replaced.

Anyways good luck with everything.

Yeah, it sucks. Semis are allowed to use retreads on a certain number of tires.

Man that sucks. I hate 476 over the summer a piece of metal came flying up, it smashed my windshield and took some nice chunks out of my roof. It took $1100 to fix it.
