Official 2009-010 skiing/snowboarding season thread
Me personally.. as soon as the trails open i'm going to the Poconos. I have a nice week long trip planned to Breckenridge, CO.. i'm so pumped to go out there. I have always skied ever since I was a little kid.. this will be my first year on a snowboard :D I picked up a '10 burton blunt, ride bindings and boa boots. As far as my skis, they're just a sweet pair of rossignols i've always had. I'll be doing plenty of that this year too. So what kinda gear does everyone have and where do you usually ski/board? |

Ive been riding (snowboarding) for about 9-10 years, so I love it when the mtns open up. I'm going to New Zealand in feb, and plan on riding there during their season (starting june)...and have some heli trips in the back of my mind, which is something ive been tossing around for a while now.

I haven't been to Mt Snow since I was in high school. I usually just hit up Bear Creek just cause its 30 minutes away and my grandparents have a place about a mile from it. I can stay and ski a whole weekend really cheap.
But I def think it is a very noob mountain. |

Ill have to go back and get that details about.....or maybe someone on here knows the details?

I can not f'in wait to ride!!!! Currently I am rocking an 08 157cm Capita Outdoor Living board, Drake Limited bindings, and 08 Celsius Cirrus boots. I am going to Killington in January with a group of my closest homies, we have been doing this trip for years.

I just broke out my gear, it's time to for a wax! I don't even have the temp plates off the Mini yet, and already there's a roofrack in the works. This is my second season owning my own gear, so I'm super stoked to get back out there. FYI, BCCC does some great trips through their Ski Club, and you don't have to be a student to be eligible to go. Dec 18 is the first one and $80 gets you a lift pass, dinner, and the buss fare to and from the mtn.

I've only been skiing once before, at Eagle Rock. I'm hoping to get away for a dude's weekend early next year! I can't wait.

Im at Bear Creek everyday during the season.. I think they just started blowing snow (plus it just snowed a couple inches....) so hopefully should be opening up soon... Im STOKED. im going to Canada for a week to this seaon.. so hopefully that should be pretty sweet.... does anyone know a place to get a decent ski rack for cheap.. or have one they want to sell.? i got a new car and i can only fit like 1 or 2 boards in it.and i usually bring up all my friends.. so im kinda screwed...

Boulder just opened today i think, and I'm sure mtns in NY and VT are good to go aswell, I'm riding wherevr is cheapest unless i get a season pass to blue. Oh and Blue's incompetent and careless ethics are goin to get them an indy grab face plant if there is another nail sticking out of the damn stairs again. better watch it!
