So...as many of you know, the Supra is taking quite some time to build...but when you're dumping the cost of a new car into the engine, it takes some time to get teh money together for it. I bought the car in April of 2006 (actually made the transaction at the SEMA Show in Fort Washington). I had it at a shop where it was going to be rebuilt and after a bad falling out with the shop owner, I pulled the car out of there in the middle of the night and had it taken to Fuzion Auto in Havertown. I was at Fuzion yesterday and took a few pictures while I was there. Mind you, a few things will be different when everything is in the car. Rich has it set up in the shop for show right now while we're waiting on my intake manifold from Virtual Works (going on 3 months now)

a BIG ass manifold. It's the RPS "Big Torque" Manifold-don't pay attention to the hot side, it's being replaced with a brand new piece that will be coated.

I remember talkign to you about this at the dump meet, that motor is lookin to be quite beastly

It's gonna be, I'm already planning another build after this one...but that's gonna be a fresh shortblock and build off of that. That's not gonna be for a little while though

I've been waiting for a few months for my intake manifold to come in...that's basically the only thing holding it back. There's a pile of parts laying right under the block assembly.

always wanted to get a sneak peak of this bad boy since you took some shots for me in philly (note avatar) keep it up---3 months is forever to wait i would have been dialing like crazy.

Pretty excited to see this get finished. Should be nice to have a local bad ass supra with a cool owner around. Its been a long time waiting and building but it will be welll worth it in the end. People should take note this is how a car should be built. Well thought out, money spent in rite places, and paitence.

Hopefully i can still get a ride whenever you make it out to the blvd or whatever meet we end up seeing each other at.

I'm doing some mild suspension work to it just to keep the body roll down. Other than that, it's all engine work being done.

Mild suspension work? Does that mean a run of the mill shock/spring combo? Just dragging this car, or dynoing I presume?

I'm only doing strut bars on the car. Springs and struts are completely stock and are staying that way. Supra's have a NASTY suspension from the factory for drag racing. It's going to be a street car. If I take it to the track, I won't get many runs with it because it's likely to break into the mid-9's.

Will it be done for Spring dude? This build has taken you over 2 years atleast. I would get on that shop and tell them to hurry it up.

I haven't owned the car for 2 years, so it couldn't have been that long. LOL. It should be done roughly 2 weeks after I get the intake manifold back.

Yea, but it's tough when I'm trying to fund over $25000 in a year, not including all my other bills. A lot of it was waiting for me to get the money for parts.
