Cool Car is back home Thanks Area1320, JSC Speed and Liz for the incredible wedding gift

Ok since I don't have one of these already I'll give a little background. I've owned my bugeye since 06. I bought it in Allentown with 42K on it and the uppipe, shocks and springs, Walboro 255 fuel pump, motor mounts and tranny mounts already installed. Since then it's been a slippery slope.

My first real mod was to have Area1320 install my exhaust. Since then Ryan has given me advice on every mod I've done until now. In between there is 103K miles including 4 fall runs, 2 spring runs, 3 sonic meets, 1 engine fire, 1 blown trans, 1 blown motor, 4 years of Applebee's meets and oh yeah I got hit by a Caddilac.

Two weeks ago after an Applebee's meet the 2.0 gave up on me and spun a rod bearing at 2am. After being towed to Area1320 and, after a week and a half delay, a plan was made with Ryan on what will be done. Below is the current mod list followed by the future mods list. All parts will be provided by JSC Speed. With any luck the results will be what will appear to be only a lightly modded WRX.

As this progresses this thread will be updated with pictures by myself or Area1320.
MODS AT TIME OF DEATH:
Suspension:
AGX struts
Eibach springs

Engine:
sti intercooler
Area1320 ported and polished TD04 turbo
Braided stainless power steering line (OEM one broke and set the car on fire)
STI motor mount
STI tranny mount
TurboXS catless uppipe
Invidia catless downpipe
HKS Carbon Ti exhaust

Transmission:
ACT HDMM Clutch
Exedy lightweight flywheel
PPG gears with Andrewtect custom ratios
Area1320 custom short throw shifter (my favorite mod until I got the ppgs)

Exterior:
Sti hoodscoop
modded fogs with 110watt bulbs
Skid Plate

Engine Management:
TurboXS Utec dyno tuned by Ryan at Area1320

226hp 251tq

Upcoming mods: (all parts courtesy JSC Speed)
2010 EJ257 block
CP forged pistons
Eagle Rods
ACL bearings
Aquamist HSF-6 meth kit with Howerton 2 gallon tank
2.0 heads
Brian Crower titanium valve springs and retainers
Brian Crower stage 2 cams
modified stock injectors from Area1320
Helix TD05-20g turbo
Gimmick Turbo Inlet
ARP Head Studs
TGV delete
Grimspeed uppipe with 38mm ewg
rotated manifold
fmic
Yet to be dertimined gauges

Thanks to: (If you've ever had a car blow you know you always have people to thank lol)
My Fiance Liz
Ryan and Drake from Area1320
Justin at JSC Speed
Martang, Touchmythunder, Honest_Bob, Gary and the rest of the Allentown Applebee's crew

Dead trans

PPG 4th on the left stock 4th on the right

PPG gears installed

on the dyno for the first tune

CP Pistons, Titanium Springs and retainers, Stage 2 cams and ARP head studs ready to go in

You really get used to it pretty fast. Straight cut are louder then the helical so mine aren't as loud, except fourth. The things about ppg gears is every set sounds different and will be louder in different gears. Thanks for the luck

Especially if the Aussie dollar is high against the US dollar when you go to buy them.

Damn that sucks. I went nuts when I spun my bearing only I didn't have enough money at the time to upgrade. Looks like you're doing it right.

Fixed that Gary lmao

Thanks guys I'm hoping it all works out, I've wanted a hybrid motor for almost as long as I've owned the car so it's exciting but I would have been happier if it hadn't blown until I was a little more prepared.

Suparu I know what you mean a lot of the thanks in the first post is there for keeping me from twitching in a corner.

abrok99 that is funny as hell and so true. I had been worried about having those gears installed until Andy from Andrewtech popped them down on the counter.

what statement? slammed and caged? Do it! As far as your parts don, I don't know man. They won't make your car run in bags although they will stay nice and clean. I am torn...
