Caddy's, especially later year, are not getting the attention they deserve. Look at that G37S thread as a prime example.

yea i hate how they said it would be awd and now they just have the awd in the R/T model.. o well Darrell Cox Racing already is modding their caliber and they just picked it up few days ago. For those who may be unaware they created the "Red Sled" the world's fastest street SRT 4 to date at 9.45.http://www.thebettencourtfamily.com/...p=getit&lid=22

Makes sense that they pushed out the SRT4 Caliber, It was released to get peoples minds off the neon. I havn't driven one personaly but the built in fridge seemed like a good idea.

I meant is the caliber that dc has a srt4 or the r/t awd one? I heard the fridge was stupid and was basically just a ac duct so it was only on if the ac was on.

iirc dodge never said it would be awd. The r/t was always suppose to be awd so people speculated that they would do the same for the srt.

So it does not have more power? I thought the neon was 230 and the caliber was 285?

neon was under rated for some reason... the caliber is the same speed if not a little faster i believe the dyno results were close

they always said the r/t awd drivetrain wouldn't be able to handle the power of the SRT-4 motor. It was all speculation on the consumer side that the SRT would get the awd system.

A lot of people were asking why they didn't just use the evo awd system... well, its because dodge wasn't allowed to. I also think the awd for the r/t can only be mated to the automatic cvt trans, which is not something you want in the SRT-4
