for the oil look into an accusump. as for the blocks, remember a closed deck can still fail spectacularly. its a good idea to have any block you are intending to use in a performance application magnafluxed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnaflux) we had a guy on the turbo-mopar board blow a 3 inch diameter hole in the side of his #1 sleeve cause the cylinder wall let go at high rpm, and this was on the strongest block available

*edit are subie blocks aluminum or iron?
