sputtering exhaust?

i have an invidia n1 catback with a resonator, and an invidia v2 catless downpipe on my 06 sti. after driving it fairly hard it idles as normal but a second later the muffler sputters hard for a few seconds. i can hear it from the driver seat as well. is this an exhaust leak? any similar experiences? its really bothering me as well as making me nervous

If it was an exhaust leak you would notice it right away. Not after you drive it hard or get on it.

the exhaust note is clean and crisp and then it sputters, almost as the exhaust flow is being partially blocked

loud pop or rumbling right after you lift off the throttle? if so thats an afterfire. if there's a constant ticking or exhaust sound at idle from under the car then thats an exhaust leak.

Hey, I remember you mentioning this on Thursday. Do you have an aftermarket blow off valve?
