I have those exact Apexi's on my S13 and I like them a lot. However I don't have any experience with any others.

Expand please?

Valved improperly for their respective spring rates? What makes you come to this conclusion, and what do you recommend?

Thanks man.

these set ups are designed for japanese roads, and are valved accordingly.

european/us brand coilovers tend to be valved better for the roads here.

I have my set on a couple clicks stiffer than being in the middle and it's a damn stiff ride. I've honestly never played with the settings because I don't mind how it rides.

I have tein flex and they're amazing for getting around, they ride smooth, nice and stiff, and good enough to track. Product support/customer service is there if you need it as well.

Might wanna check out stance-usa too. That's my new sponsor and I actually like these coilovers better than the teins.

A valid concern, and one of mine.

KW, my first choice, doesn't have a Miata application with adjustable bottom mounts.

Thanks D. I've looked into the Stance too, but for some reason I have reservations.

They definitely come in with great features at a great price, but some shock dyno's I've seen show their adjustments don't really adjust the damping.

Yes, for a 91 Miata.

And no, I can't find any info on the Apex'i. I've tried making a post on Miata.net, miataturbo and clubroadster and have had no luck with good, first hand experience. Searching hasn't helped either, and I can generally find **** when searching.

Some say the Flex are great, some say they are bouncy. I cannot get any great, solid info, and know of no one local enough to bum a ride to check them out first hand.

Hence me turning here, I figured it might not be Miata-specific, but with the variety on here someone's had to try 'em.

Thanks guys so far for the thoughts...

Nah, the SAABs the DD.

The Miata is just a fun street car. I will most likely auto-x it, but the mods to it will put me into a class I can't be competitive in with my budget, so I'm not really worried about it.

Good idea though, I'll hit that up too.
