More updates. Inspired by Matt @ Sloppy, and all the other slops out there. Got a v-band flange welded onto the turbine housing for the wastegate. It's a completely ridiculous setup. I think, as I posted earlier, that the turbine is 50mm, and our wastegate flange is of the 44/46mm variety. Also, we have a 100 dollar ebay turbo but we're putting a 400 dollar Tial 44mm gate on it simply because we had it laying around. Kyle tacked the flange on and let everything preheat on the charcoal grill after we made dinner. Then after welding we let it cool nice and slow on top of the wood stove.

Kyle got another weld on the charge pipe, too. Otherwise, not much to mention - I believe the downpipe will be started this week.

Outside of the Miata, Eli is going to help me do some electrical upgrades for the shop this weekend. It's not actually upgrades, I just want to extend/move some wires and add a few outlets.

Oh and a shot of the business end of the Camaro that's in the shop currently.

As I was reading I was thinking, man that waste-gate is more than the turbo. Then again, I guess most things are more expensive than the turbo .

Haha, for sure. I forget where it came from. I think that it might have been part of the turbo setup that Kyle bought for his Galant, but I'm not sure.

More random crap. Water neck against the firewall, burning in some welds on the roll bar, added some outlets in the shop, more Camaro cage planning.

Also, that is the ETS GTR driveshaft above the wood stove that they broke at the Shootout this year.

The reason for the electrical setup shown is because I had some wires just hanging out of the wall there by the driveshaft because there was some other **** there that got removed when I moved in. Finally around to doing something about it. Eli, who's a part of this project, is an electrical guy so he threw the boxes and extra wire up for me really quick this weekend.

Oh, and a broken Viper bumper that Kyle dropped off and we've let sit outside since last week.
