Storing a non-running car

Greetings!

I am located in Jackson, NJ and I am desperately seeking a place where I can store a non-running car indoors. I've tried Public Storage, Extra Space, Uncle Bob's and a few others, and all of them require that the car be running and driving. I either need to find a place to store it or sell it, and I REALLY don't want to sell it.

Thanks for any help you've got

Joe

Go on craigslist and post your situation under garage space wanted. Someone will probably rent you a garage, lawn space.

Just pay the rent at any of those storage places, I highly doubt that will question if the vehicle is running or not.

All the ones I've called specifically ask if the car is registered, insured and running.

Insured is the only requirement at a storage place. I have a car in one now, mine runs. But the question was never asked, try iStorage.

Hmm, very interesting. Tell them you are storing car parts - then you get around all those questions and in reality you are not lying- all the parts are just attached

Make sure you have appropriate insurance coverage.

Register and insure it.

My brother had full coverage +$8000 in mod coverage on his e30 and was paying $33/mo. He just dropped it to minimum liability/comprehensive and pays $16/mo cause it's in storage. That's with Nationwide.

When I had State Farm they had even lower storage rates.
