Sloppy Mechanics Dyno Day May 17th
LVI/Sloppy Mechanics dyno day hosted by DP Inc. Where? http://www.troydiehlpaving.com/ Diehl Paving Inc. 1712 Hoover Avenue Allentown, PA 18109 info@troydiehlpaving.com Allentown: (610) 264-7311 When?! Sunday, May 17th. 2009 Starting around noon OMG How much? Right now its looking like 40 dollars for 2 pulls. this is not a tuning session, this is just to see what your car puts down. i dont mind if you are swapping between boost levels or tunes quickly, but if you start taking up too much time. DP inc reserves the right to charge you more for hogging dyno time you greedy bastard. A sign in sheet will be at the dyno for you to get your name down so we know who is next etc. Staff will be strapping and driving your car on the dyno, and cody will be driving, you can set a speed/rev limit for the driver. tell him to watch out for oil geysers or boost cutoff etc. otherwise if you dont like how cody drives it, or i strap it you can get off the dyno. area around dyno will be roped off, if you enter without permission we might shoot you or hose you down with a C02 fire extinguisher. bringing food and hot chicks will probably get you VIP seating/perks *speak with timmy(disco) for details RACE GAS MAY BE AVAILABLE. i have to check with tim on price and whatnot but dont count on it. sometimes there is extra fuel in his drum he does not mind selling. a few miles east of the dyno is US fuels in new jersey who sells CAM2 Leaded 110 octane. more details and whatnot will be added as they come in. we had a very good turnout last dyno day, we did 32 cars in 8 hours. bring a ****ty car we can spray with nitrous, i dont know if we will have a beater feature car this time around.

Talk about local. Ive driven by your place countless times wondering why there was a dyno at a paving company.
I might bring out my 240 I'm interested in what my half assed engine rebuild puts down to the ground. |

I have been there a couple different times with friends dynoing. It is pretty cool to see a paving company have their own dyno. Can't wait!!!

Yeh the car will be going to the junkyard the following day. It will most likely be a honda since they are easy for me to get running without a key.
Ill find a car tomorrow at work and try and get pics up. |

I really hope you are not implying you are going to steal a honda.

With no end time set, we're gonna be strapping cars on the rollers and going WOT at 1500 rpm on anything this side of an airplane. Expect high EGT's, boost controllers cranked, and timing being changed on the spot to levels never before expected...at least on the big boy cars ;)
But in all seriousness, this is a great time to be had be everyone. We'll strap anything and everything on, from your sisters 2.0 VW Jetta with bad muffler bearings, to TwinTurbo Trans Ams, The weather looks great (haha, it's inside) so there is no excuse not to come. We're hoping to have quite a few big power (500-600+) show up too, just to tease us all by spitting race gas and fire all over the place. So tell everyone to come, even to hang out. The Street Race King Wes will be there making Hot Dogs for everyone to enjoy too. -2 pull minimum at 40 dollars -As many pulls as you like, we'll see how much to charge -No hardcore tuning. Boost controller changing, simple stuff no problem...but we're not pulling out the Haltec computers here. -We will have AFR hookup -If you have a hot gf, or your gf has hot friends, bring them. Timmy likes girls with nice knees, and 3 teeth. -If your car is Eaton powered, don't be an idiot...get there early and let it cool off. -HAVE FUN. We all talk trash, but we're all car guys. This is meant to have fun, and meet some new people. SO PLEASE, SPREAD THE WORD AROUND!!! POST THIS ON YOUR OTHER FORUMS AND EVERYTHING! -Let it also be known that if the car blows up on the dyno, is it YOUR fault, not the dyno's or the drivers (me). Like Matt says, on the sign in sheet, make sure you put down: RPM BOOST AFR And whatever else you want known. If your clunker is pinging like a diesel rabbit through the midrange, I'm going to assume it's normal, and goto the desired RPM, boost, and AFR you set. Seriously though, everyone working a dyno day is heavily involved with cars, and knows a ton about them...as they say 'this isn't our first radio'. We all have niec cars, and will respect yours like it is our own -- the last thing we want to do is clean up hard parts from under the dynoroller. All in all though, our dyno days are freakin incredible, and are always a fun time. PLENTY of parking, and we are directly next to the Allentown DMV/Airport Road/BJ's Wholseale Club/Route 22...perfect location. All pulls will be videotaped, and photographed as well. This means bring those hot 25th street hookers you normally hang out with. If a 4 cylinder taurus goes from P to D, spraying through the shift, and rips the tires off....I'm sure a Honda can too ;)

we had the taurus on the dyno for 2 or 3 nice nitrous backfires, but decided that cleaning up the roller and shop if the engine blew would not be fun.
so we tried in the street.

we had a 90hp cavalier last year, if you can go down the highway at 80mph then you are fine on the dyno.
