well i think the clutch cylinder went on my dakota today on the way to work, nothing like having to turn your car off to stop and shift gears. Glad i have a second vehicle.

I'd take your audio stuff out and return it to stock. Leave the lowering springs in an call it a day.

I'd def do a converter though.
4.10s in this car would be plain stupid and I'd run out of gear in no time but going from 3.27s to 3.73s isn't going to hurt a lot and will still give me some good top end.

I found a set of Weld Draglites in MD for $350 with tires all the way around except the rears are shot. I can get new drag radials for $320ish. Could be the best deal of my life.

I'm hunting track wheels and tires. A set of 17x9 with lightly used Dunlop Direzza's on them for under $1k would be so sweet.

need to look into my dakotas clutch issue tonight. hoping it's the slave cylinder, i really don't want to have to pull the tranny off to check the throw out bearing.

How is the clutch fluid? Is it low or burnt?

Any damp on the inside of the car near the clutch pedal?

haven't checked into any of that yet.

basically what happened was: i was driving to work, was coming to a stop so i tried to shift out of gear, i got it out, but the clutch pedal fell to the floor. i tried lifting it with my toe, got it to rise but it never seemed to engage or disengage the clutch. Stalled out. put it into gear while engine was off, started up the truck and it started to move but couldn't change gears, clutch didn't seem to do anything and at times was hard to depress. had to come to another stop so i turned the car off, again put it into gear and started it up and drove to the nearest parking lot to get towed.

That smells like clutch master/slave. Replace BOTH. I went through this exercise with my 3000gt twice within 2 weeks due to me trying to cheap out.

I got to look at it today briefly, both master and slave are dry as a bone. The clutch felt ok today, I could start the truck and get it in and out of gears, but when i depress the clutch there is screeching, if i push to the floor there are vibes, all the way out it's silent. So unfortunately I think it's the throw out bearing. So now i need to decide if I just replace and resurface everything while I have it off or not.

Take it you won't be landing when it's still dark out.

My flight landed at around 9pm,window seat non the less. One hell of a view.
