Thanks for your opinions guys. Kinda glad you think it looks like ****, so it doesn't attract too much attention to the rest of the car as in what's under the hood.

I like it, so I will rock it for a little while. Knowing me, I will probably get bored after a year or so and pull it off and then back to being two toned again since my front end was not painted before.

I like plasti-dip, but i've only used the actual dipping kind for my tool handles and tow hooks (stops the clink when i drop ****) - but i wouldnt do a car.

i'd do as others suggested and vinyl wrap the car, i mean hell, most of the panels are either removable or you have access to most edges, definitely DIY-Able
Understood, I was simply talking about how he said it. There was a more polite way a “moderator” could of said he didn’t like the car, that’s all. But as I always said on this forum, to each their own.

What i dont understand is, these people try to justify these horrible paint jobs using unconventional **** with price. When there are so many other options designed to be used in an automotive application that cost exactly the same or less, and look RIGHT when done. I spent 250 bucks on a gallon of clear, gallon of basecoat, and reducer and hardener for my car when I had it painted, and maybe another 50 bucks in body work supplys. It probably cost damn near that much in rattle cans of plasti dip to do a whole car. Or the people that justify using rustoleum to matte black their car, a SEM hot rodz flat single stage paint kit is what? 100 bucks? If that? It's a notoriously horrible fad that damn near ruin's the exterior of cars. My buddy bought a truck that some kid rattle canned, I had to sand the whole damn truck down through the layers upon layers upon layers of rattle can paint to get the car ready to be primered and painted for real.

I have to agree, if u spray it with enough layers your good. we sprayed my girlfriends wheels with 5 layers and it has lasted 5 months with no problems.

Thank Matt for clearing up my point.

I'm only sort of grasping where you're coming from here. I don't think that I need to shield people from words on the internet: We're all big boys, and using the word "terrible" when describing a pretty rough car with what is essentially a spray-painted paint job on it is, without a doubt, one of the least offensive, ways I could have put that. Could I have been slightly friendlier? Probably. However, when someone goes into the defensive "I don't come onto this site because..." or "haters this, that, and the other thing" posture, it's pretty clear that they were bracing themselves for negativity anyways.

I'm not sure what bearing being a Mod or how my fictional internet title "went to my head" fits into any part of this discussion.

That's some good stuff. I've done a few customer cars using it, and it lays nicely.

i got it. maybe ken block moved to ford because he saw the results of this comparison test, and couldnt stand the shame of driving for subaru anymore.. i mean after all subaru did lose a legitimate performance comparison to what was once a car for secretaries and librarians.

Point taken, in my opinion I just thought it was rude, That’s all. Do I want anything done about it? No. I just felt like I wanted to say something about it.
