how to drift?
ok, one what car do you have?..hopefully a 240sx...why? because they are made to drift....i drove the miata, the ae86, etc...but by far 240sx are the easiest......i started in the rain because less noise and the key is know how your car react....after you learn that you will move up to ways of entering your drift.....different courses layouts means different ways to enter.....NOW in the beginning you will E-brake because thats easy BUT you lose speed...So, later you will discover that joys of Clutch kicking or fainting in to a drift.

above all don't be discourage, try to have as much fun as possible....oh and go to CLUB LOOSE events...the course i don't think its that slippery at all...yeah if you have like a thin crappy tire then yeah but i get great grip when i drift there and grip is a key factor in drifting as well......peace

PS...SUSPENSION SUSPENSION SUSPENSION !!!!!!LSD!!!!! weld one or go 2way...VLSD SUCK !!!!

I think pretty much everyone who was there last night will vouch for me when I say the course is like glass.

One thing that is a little deceiving. Transferring drifting on wet ground to dry are two completely different things. On a wet course I find myself physically steering my car in to countersteer while on dry my car will automatically react by causing itself to countersteer. Although wet is good for learning how it feels to be sliding and controlling the car through a drift, much less you can go much slower so you don't have to worry about hitting things as much, drifting on wet and dry are two completely different things.
i guess....

Either way bro just have fun. Everyone has different ways of learning so find your path and go for it.....good luck

love it

theirs many ways to approach drifting and learn.i recomend hit as many club loose or similar events.the worst you could do is hit a cone.
my idea of drifting is getting as close as possible to the next guy and knock the zip ties off. hee hee Reese im coming after you.

**** power. Have a good left foot to do clutch kicks and you're money.

LSX's rock my socks!

A bad alignment or suspension setup can be a million times worse than a stock alignment much less a good setup. I realized the hard way after I got back from E-town last time when I threw my car on the rack since I know I'm a bad driver, but something was just wrong in my car. Toe in, lower than stock caster and completely different between both sides and my camber was gay. Ugh.

Oh and don't forget, hitting things is fun! Scraping/cracking/scuffing bumpers on cones/fences/giant chunks of ground just makes your car look better and mean. woo hoo!1

You have a great car to drift IMO. If I had to choose right now I would get a mustang to slide mainly because I prefer power over to any other initiation. Club Loose track is sooooo confusing. It looks like a parking lot full of random cones, and the surface is a little sketchy. But its still fun and any chance to slide is good.

The course is so confusing??? We've been running the same course for 2 years now. Why can't people remember it and follow it, it's so simple. We had to change it last night because someone left a big ass trailer right at the end of the big sweeper.

And just bring the GTO and drive it. Don't be scared to kick the clutch or e-brake or beat on it. What kind of steering angle do those things have?

Circle track in state college is SICK!!! Nothing but grass aorund you. I got to the business parking lot in morgantown and practice on rainy days with my friend and his S2K...Its fun. I am actually working on something a little closer to WC for drifting.. I'll have updates in a little while
