It says compressor on the title...compressor = supercharge in German (Kompressor on the Mercedes' and all).

Is it a big shiney turbo or something like a Vortec??

looks like it ha a lot of room in that engine bay? and seems like the weight of the car would be offset due to where the engine sits? but maybe I'm just not used to VW's

I've never been impressed by supercharged VW numbers. Sweet looks, cool noises, but I haven't seen a really fast one yet.

You're just not used to VW. You should see the engine bay of a Mk3 2.0! It takes up like a 1/4 of it haha.

I agree. Looks and sounds really nice but turbo is the way to go on VR6's. Nice show car though... shaved and polished everything + a little go is very cool. If it was turbo it would be cooler though.

That thing is sweet. I would really like to know what it is putting down. How much boost is that thing running? Is that motor built? If it's a built motor with a compressor that thing should be wicked fast.

that car is really old and so is the vid. it is a v1 supercharged, he didn't want too much power that is why he went s/c. if i come across the pics of the car with the hood i will post them.
