i got a "overdue inspection" ticket.
my inspection was due 6/06. yeah, im way late. i got bagged last night for no inspection sticker. my car wont pass. i've had a friend put "collector vehicle" inspection on his car. he has a turbo honda and they passed him. i just wont pass because of obd2 car running obd1 ecu. my question is when i get my new inspection sticker, what are the odds if i show the officer/court that my car is now inspected, would they drop the ticket? thanks for your help.

I can't tell you what the court is going to do, but I can tell you that it's your best strategy. If you show up for court with valid inspection, it's by far the best odds for walking away with minimum/no penalty. Own up to the mistake, don't make excuses, show you're responsible and resolved the situation on your own, and the rest is out of your hands.
