04 spec v oil leak

wondering if anyone is familiar with the QR25DE spec v engine, got a oil leak somewhere on either on the pully side or rear of engine, not really sure becuz the pullys fling the oil on everything, its not horrible bad but enough to leave a quarter to fist size oil stain on the ground most of the time and my oil level is fine and car runs fine......any suggestions

My 02 Spec-V never once leaked oil. They weren't known to leak oil, they were however known to consume oil real bad lol. Going to have to get the car up in the air and take a look, or put some cardboard under the car for the night and see where the drips are coming from.

it drips by the passenger wheel, which is where the oil filter and plug are but everything is tight and good, also the whole timing chain assembly hangs on that side too so idk, was thinking the crankshaft sensor that is on rear of block but i felt around back there and it is dry...kinda stumped debating if i wanna take it somewhere and the only nissan dealer close to me is rothrock and i kno they will rip me (wonder how much they would charge to just diagnose it?)

if you can get under it, there is dye you can use to spot oil leaks. im not sure if its the same kinda dye used to find ac leaks or not but ive seen guys at work do it. anyway clean the thing up spot less or best you can, put some dye in the engine oil fill hole, and let it run. if you see die it will narrow down where its coming from. mine had 200k on it and never leaked any oil. not a drop. my guess would be its coming from the timing cover. which by the way, that thing is a pain in the ass to get off. the oil pan is a 2 peice desigh that locks into the upper oil pan. the bottom is just a cover, the peice above that is the upper oil pan. there are no gaskets inbetween layers, just rtv. just some food for thought.

also the car board idea is good to. but again clean it up really well so you can narrow it down where its coming from.

check around your rear main seal. I heard they've been known to leak.

Check around your power steering pump. Wouldn't be the first time somebody thought it was oil when it was power steering fluid.
