I like the SC430, however, it’s a totally different type of car with a different driving experience. I’m not sure it would be the car for me though – perhaps something else. I guess you should figure out the reason behind wanting one. Is it the looks? Is it the status of owning a Lexus? If you like the looks then go for it.
On the other hand, if you’re thinking about the SC for the performance then get ready to move to the back of the pack. Power to weight isn’t that good compared to other cars. It’s around 3800lbs and 290hp if I remember correctly – hell, a Honda Prelude with proper bolt-ons would give it a run for its money. However, don’t count on modding it. There are very few performance parts and the ones that are available will cost you (supercharger, turbo, etc.) I made a list of cars I wanted back in 2004 (Mercedes Benz C230, BMW 335i, Evo, STi, and 350Z/G35) and then graded them on a scale in terms of performance, moddability, cost to own, maintenance cost, “bling factor,” etc. Personally, I wanted to have the ability to chase down Porsche and Ferrari, so it came down to the Evo and STi – you know the rest. Performance and being able to mod were (and still are) very important to me. Find out what’s important to you and then make your decision.

i say keep the evo. all u can do to a lexus is some suspension work, rims, and the basic bolt ons...
if your into VIP type of cars. than go for it, other than that. keep the evo.
