sema 2012

Thread for all sema related news and stuff you have been finding from people lucky enough to be there. Personally, I always loved sema for the vendor product anouncements and product reveals.

True successor to the AEM EMS...
(pics are from DCR)

notes
-It has everything that the Series1, EMS2 and EMS4 was missing. Time based boost, ifinite stages, 2 o2 controllers built in, all new firmware, Multiple rpm logging inputs, 3d graphics modeling, you can set as many break points as needed for all tables and no longer are limited. No more harsh steps in increments on tables due to 3.5, 5 and 7Bar Map Sensors

Borg Warner EFR-9180

notes
-Capable of a remarkable 94lb/min airflow and stable at very high boost levels, the 91mm OD compressor measures 67.7mm inducer and is a 7 blade FMW compressor. basically this will be the most bad assed .67 ever made
-It has super light weight compressor wheel and turbine wheel matched with a very good turbine housing design. "I like its compact size as far as fitment. Stainless turbine housing is a plus also. Big horsepower with spool to be had here."
-yeah thats probably too big for most of us, but its very likely turbos like this will be setting a standard for all other sizes.

I didn't go this year because of work but will hopefully be going next year. I am going to PRI which I never miss. I think it is a better overall show for performance products. No parties like SEMA but oh well.
