sorry if the route is not going down 309 but from previous experience you want to avoid stop lights as much as possible as the group gets split, some people can get lost, etc. plus its just a pain to have to stop all the time.
Well no matter how we go were gonna hit stop lights. My vote was to go down 611 since that road has some fun parts to drive. I dont really care though. Might be better to have a place closer to regroup.

No matter what route we take, we will hit traffic lights. Even if we take the Northeast Extension to 276 E we will hit traffic lights before and after.

We could do a route like this, but there is still a good possibility of getting separated.

Going to other events in the past, we used those low priced radios you can get at Walmart and target to keep everyone together and just made sure everyone was on the same channel before we left.

Yeah, unless someone paves a new road between now and the event there's not really going to be a great route to go. I see three options really:

1.309
2.611
3.Turnpike (which is a little out of the way for us)

Unfortunately it's just the reality of trying to organize a caravan on the congested East Coast. Right now I'm kinda 50/50 between 309 and 611. I know both routes I'd say they have equal amount of lights. 611 probably has slightly less traffic.

EDIT: Then again, I've organized things like before ... and until you eliminate all the maybe's, all the people who can't get their ass out of bed by 9:30 and the others who "forgot" they had to work that day; your caravan goes from 30 cars to 10. As it is we have 12 people possibly at this point. So, all in all, it might not be that bad keeping everyone together. Food for thought.

I've been a "definitely" on here for a week, but nobody added me to the list.

Wow, we need to get some more interest for this caravan. The past two years we've had a lot more than 12 cars rolling in the Lehigh Valley caravan. I think there were at least 30+ cars last year and the year before. Almost feel as though most people just show up from word of mouth without being on the list on this forum, so just be prepared just in case a lot more people show up. As for walkie talkies.. almost no one had them last year.

Everyone should also bring a copy of directions printed out or even a GPS so if we get split up, whoever is at the front of the next pack of cars still knows where to go and can lead everyone else that's behind them.

I have access to a photocopier at work, so I was thinking I would run like 10 or 15 copies of the directions (once we settle on how we're going) so that every other car or so has them.

I just joined the forum. I would also be willing to make copies once the route is decided. I will be attending the caravan, along with a friend he is going to rsvp once he registers.

I'll probably convince my friend with his Jeep to drive down with me, so that's more than likely a +1 to me.

I will be attending, along with a friend and some of his friends. So +1 saturn ion redline, i believe 5 evos, all around 450+, 2 supras 1 around 900hp. Also a 350z, most of the cars are from around hazleton. We may meet up at the caravan, or just cruze down the t.p. with them. Also possibly 2 wrx's still pendind.

I haven't been down the upper part of 611 in months .. I've been on it from about Rt 412 and south. Thanks for the heads up.
