Picked it up on 4/20/2006.
Looked like this the day I got it... Did a quick chop to see what black wheels would look like. Then I was rolling around like this... Got sick of the rough ride, so I sold those, and rode around on steelies for a few weeks. Did a quick photoshop to see what Rota GT3's would look like... It's magic! Bought an xB exhaust from a friend, welded it up to fit properly. Painted the headlights, cleared the amber signal. Photoshopped yet another set of wheels on for the next season... Yellow fogs, red rear turn signals... and trimrings to make my winter steelies a little more beautiful. :P Magic! Again! Picked up some junkyard Toyota centercaps for the wheels. New exhaust, and a trip to Skyline drive... Coilovers! Before: After: Red steelies for winter. Steelies + trimrings. Roof rack installed. New coilovers. Autocrossing, 2008. New wheels, Konig Heliums. Autocrossing, 2009. New winter wheels, xB factory alloys, 15x6 +39. Last edited by Zillon; 09-07-2009 at 09:23 PM. |

Penn State '11 eh.
That's when I'm supposed to graduate. Are you at the University Park campus? If so you should come out to the LPAC meetings. Every Wed. night at 8pm in the parking lot by the BJC http://www.psulpac.org/bulletinboard/index.php

I'm not a fan of the car per say but you have done a great job making a weird car cool.

Thanks guys. I get that response quite a bit... it's turned out to be a fun little car so far. Little low in power, but it makes up what it lacks in power with it's go-kart handling.
I actually came home this weekend to see The Ataris play in Doylestown... pulled the cover off, and found a nice little ding in the roof, about 6 cm or so above the windshield, about 3 cm left of dead center. No paint damage, I tried heating and freezing the immediate area with compressed CO2, but I had no luck in getting the dent to remove itself. I'll have to see if I can get it PDR'd. Overall, for an all-season tread, they're great. They've actually surprised me quite a bit with how well they grip. I've found them to be pretty quiet too, and I've gotten a good 15k out of them so far, and I'd say they've got another 10k left in them easy. The sidewalls are a tick soft too, but they're not that bad. With my latest suspension mods though, I've found it easier to overwhelm the traction... so I'm on a quest to find a set of grippier, non-All season treads for the spring. Quote:

Yeah, started right around 8PM.
The Letdown led off, followed by The Progress, then Bangarang. And finally the Ataris finished up, playing the last hour or so. I'm not all into the metalcore/hardcore/whatever scene, so the Letdown wasn't my cup o' tea. The Progress weren't too bad, and Bangarang was great... though they could improve on their live vocals a bit. It was just so damn cool to be within 2 feet of the stage listening to one of my all-time favorite bands play a local show.

My hair's a bit shorter now than what it was, but I'm surprised you didn't see me. I saw you a couple times, but it was at a distance.

Siren has been getting a lot of local music in there. Pretty cool. I have some friends in the band Shatterhook so I have been there a few times now to watch them play. Seen some other cool bands there during the week.

If it was a tucking a little tire, I'd like it even more.
Best shaped Scion IMO. Nice overall.

Gracias guys.
I wish I could tuck more tire myself, but unfortunately, that's as low as I can get it. I've got about 8 more threads left on the front shock bodies, but then the rear starts looking jacked up. I've got the rear all the way down.
