Off Roading, What you got, Where you go?

I know many people talk about how Ford Escape/Mazda Tributes aren't 4 wheeling capable for **** since there's not a low range, but I've been mildly off roading and find it quite fun. The two weakest points are the alternator is too low and no transfer case. Aftermarket is even worse since no shock/strut is offered, but they do have lift kits for them

So does anyone go off roading?

What kind of ride you got?

What type of roading you do?

Some fun pics, nothing special:

I would love to find some trails around here. I'm sure there are plenty. The Jeep is pretty capable in stock form.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I always go to the pine barrens. Never had an issue. We've had several Subaru meets there.

Not since my computer at home crashed. I hope we get some decent snow here soon. That's always fun to tackle in the Jeep.

I know of a few places further up north. But I would not recommend taking this there. It would be coming back in pieces ;)

Centralia wheeling is fun. I will be up there this weekend. I've been there tons of times. Shamokin is quite fun as well! I usually do the NJ Pine Barrens or Rausch Creek.

This is my toy - '97 Jeep Wrangler TJ - 4.0L I6, 5 speed, WAY too much to list right now (at work lol):

My Silverado is my DD/tow rig (Currently at the body shop though) and I've done some incredibly MILD wheeling with it up in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

I was just up in Centralia last weekend, but didn't know it got like that. Looks like fun. Wanna sell me one of your trail rigs in a year or so??

There is a fun trail that runs from Centralia, through the back woods, along quarry's, and random drop offs, and exits down in Ashland. It's the route I take all the time after I give my "tour" of the area to my friends. Nothing real hardcore as we had a stock YJ and stock TJ handle it no prob. My Silverado though is too wide to fit and would be scratched to hell if I took it back there. There are tons more trails that branch off from there, but I've never been down them before.

Yeah, I know where Ashland is. I drove through there not knowing whats around there. Next time I'm up there, even though my truck is 2WD, my buddy and me will see if we can find one of his friends and let us borrow some quads.
