They do, but they're like any other car...if you're on the throttle all the time your gas mileage is going to suffer lol.

Even in OCMD sitting in traffic and doinng burnouts for hours I was at 17. As a DD I'm around 19-20. Highways 28. Not sure how that compares to the LS7 though. Fuel economic has never been a concern of mine.

I'm assuming actual pulls and "spirited driving" eats more gas than idle and the occasional burn out lol. And I'm sure the 7.0l vs. 5.7 doesn't help lol

Nice pickup! Thought about making the switch to one of these as well. Still an option. I like Vettes in yellow but definitely good choice going with the black.

My favorite angles are from straight ahead and from the back.

Stage 2+

On another note i took it to the track (1/4) for the first time, and this was the first time i EVER took a car down the 1320. I bogged the launch pretty bad but then picked up ground pretty quickly. Second run was the same up till when i shifted to third and there was nothing there..clutch must of slipped or been too hot. Kinda bummed about that.

First run was the only full run i made, ran 12.6@117mph, nothing special. Second run was 14.3@73mph letting off just before half way down the track.

Had a lot of fun though and look forward to trying to get her into the 11s.

Clutch not being there after a few pulls is common. We C5s and my GTO had it. Your clutch itself is fine and bleeding/installing a remote bleeder will be your friend. Do it often.

So after doing some research i changed my clutch fluid today as described by Ranger (Corvette driving Based-God).

So yeah...that should be clear lol.

It took me about 20 minutes to get all the dusty fluid out, took about 5-6 changes till it was no longer cloudy. For those that dont know, clutch dust gets into the fluid and creates mis-shifts, hanging clutches, and a bunch of other clutch related problems. I used a turkey baster to remove the bad liquid, replaced it with Dot4 fluid till it was clear, then cleaned out the reservoir and cap.

Process.

Result.

Also made a small supply kit in case i have to do it when im out driving, its recommended to check everytime you get gas, or are going to do aggressive driving.

Hopefully i can get back to the track Friday if i dont have to work.

Car washed as well.
