i was torn between one of those an my 07 wrx... i opted for the wrx though. i really wanted something that would be amazing in the snow. the mazdaspeed 3 is for sure faster.

Thanks for the support-- good to see some more mazdaspeed guys on here. Anyone know if there are any other MS3s on TST? Ive only seen like 1 on the street before.

Yes I will miss my WRX, but I do not regret the change..

mazda and mazdaspeed forums are not as car specific as the WRX/STi forums for sure.

does anyone know if there are any 'mazdaspeed' specific forums, because I can only find sections in generic mazda or mazda3 boards.

I have nothing against subaru-- love subaru, loved my WRX. I do a lot of higway driving and was really getting tired of the horrible top end on my WRX- was considering a turbo upgrade but didnt know if I wanted to drop all the cash on it plus supporting mods. Plus I had my eye on the MS3 ever since they started showing up at dealerships. The transmission in the mazda is exponentially better than the WRX trans. Stereo is better, seats are more comfortable..list goes on.

Found one pre-owned at carsense with only few thousand on it, drove it and fell in love with it.

Good luck with it man...how fast is it compared to your stage 2 wrx? Ive heard good things, but I've never seen one on the road.

significantly faster---obviously not from a stop, but once you get rolling it keeps pulling and pulling. The torque delivery and smoothness of the motor is day and night from the wrx. It pulls hard even in 6th gear without downshifting. Simple I/E bolt ons are netting crazy performance increases on these cars as well, and cobb is working on an AccessPORT for it. I plan on doing a stock baseline dyno soon and updating power increases as I do bolt-on stuff to it. This car is going to be the next JSC Speed project car, so I will be updating the progress on it often.

I am definitely going to miss the incredible aftermarket support of the WRX and the community for sure.

I would really like to get next to a stock STi on the highway, just as a benchmark
