Water pump runs the colant through your system. Its under your timing belt so the belt "WILL" have to come off. You will have to do the timing belt in order to replace it.

if you haven't already done the timing belt, i would recommend doing it now while everything is apart...along with all the pulleys and tensioners

it's not exactly a small job. If you're not comfortable doing in give a call to one of the venders. I know JNZ isn't too far from Allentown or one of the other vendors in the area.

x2 it took a mechanic friend of mine about 2 1/2 to 3 hours including replacing all belts, pulleys, and tensioners

sorry about the non reply but yeah it was never replaced. i went ahead and replaced it with a friend of mine (UTI grad). We also did the timing belt but it took us a few days to get it all back together because i made the terrible mistake of not keeping a tab of what bolts or pullys went where. but in the end we got her all back together in the correct order after a bunch of research. lol Also replaced all the belts and cleaned off all the pulleys really good.... If only i had labeled everything we would have accomplished this task in 3-4 hours no doubt in my mind at all. It wasnt as hard as i thought it would be either, take my advice have someone experienced to help you out with the timing because its very easy to skip something so simple and you'll be kicking yourself in the end if you don't.
