V8 performance shops... AND vehicle paint shops (good ones)

Looking for a place around the philly area that is capable of performing an engine rebuild and modification.

This would be to a carb'd small block V8. Looking for some names to call so I can shop around.

Now researching to find a good paint and body place. I'm going to need some rust patched up CORRECTLY. The body blasted to remove the layers of old paint. and then repainted and clearcoated.

I need a shop that will work with me and bring to the table some creative ideas. I don't want to spend a ton on the paint, but I also want something that will stand out.

check out second street speed in perkasie.

www.secondstreetspeed.com

They're the ones who built the 383 stroker in my S10. Awesome guys over there (ask for Lon) and they routinely build 1000+ hp FI engines and do the tuning with motec. They have an engine dyno and chassis dyno. They really know their stuff. Build everything from full blown show cars to road race to drag cars. They've even patented a few parts they've developed for ford small blocks.

i got a guy who will probably work with you on the bodywork. hes very good (has my neon right now actually) and hes pretty fair. but the problem is that he works at a dealership bodyshop so its kinda hard to work around that schedule. it would depend how long you wanted to wait.
