What tires are you guys running?

I personally have had michelin and dunlop on my bike and i can tell you i love the feel of my dunlops. On my bike now i have dunlop 205's on it. i always loved those tires. but i don't ride to stunt or got super fast so they seem to last me about 2 seasons. so what do you guys got on the wheels?

i use michelin power pilots. super soft and super grippy. great in the corners. only last me about 3 or 4k miles, but i figure sacrificing traction could be sacrificing my life.

Pirelli Sport Demons. One of the best 16" tires you can get, dry performance is great. Things get a little sketchy when you throw water into the mix, though.

Whoops! my apolgeez! those are not power pilots. those are power race tires. I switched over a while ago and confused the name lol. they heat up quicker and are softer on the sides that the pilots. course they dont last even an entire season.... but they save my ass in the corners lol.

not usually cause im usually in jeans and it hurts haha, but it taps every once in awhile. i usually try to keep it a few inches above the ground, because really, it does not feel good.

its gotta be a newly paved, not well traveled (oil from cars), a really hot day, and jsut wait for the tires to warm up.

i think most guy's problem is that they sit up when going through a corner, which really doesnt work for me.

What tires can I get for my "new" '84 VF500? It has a 120/90V18 in the back and a 100/90V16 in the front... what should I get for it since it does need new tires?

what are you planning to do with this bike? soft rubber gets better tractions (duh) but wont last long at all. if you are going to be doing a lot of comfortable cruising and highways and not much twisties, then i suggest more of a sport tourign type tire.

yeah look for sport touring tires. they provide decent grip and will last a ton longer than performance tires!
