Racing is an expensive sport, get used to it And if you think $55 is expensive, wait till you see how much track time on a circuit costs + tires, brakes, suspension setups, race fee's etc.
I consider autocross a fun way to learn how to control my cars while at the same time competing against the rest of the crowd. It's fun, come out and give it a try. If you dont like it then dont do it again, but i guarantee once you go out to an event, you'll be adicted to autocross and will be looking for a date for the next event.

Sure...If it's your first time out they wave the fee, but otherwise it's only that cheap if you have an SCCA membership.

Thats definitely more expensive than it was previously... seems like each year it goes up $10.
Its full day format, does that mean that we might see more than 3 runs out of it if its not too crowded?

if you want to pay $35 and run in a mall parking lot feel free, I'd rather pay alittle extra and run at places like Citizen's bank park, Warminster & Delaware park.
the fees are what they are because we have good lots, and there are more in the works. ;)

Warminster events haven't been filling up recently. These days we usually get 5 to 7 runs.
All SCCA events have gone up in cost since membership became mandatory. Weekend memberships add $15 to the cost (even in the dinky mall parking lots). Pay it the first time you go and if you like autocross (and you will), you can apply that $15 toward the annual membership fee when you become a full member. This is the 10th Philly Region summer series event. Last edited by Cy76; 10-07-2009 at 01:56 AM. Reason: fixed grammar |

I've only seen cash taken at on site registration. I'm not sure about checks but I don't think they have any way of charging credit cards on site.
