I have a 93 Del sol Si with a gsr swap and failed emission. It all stock but for an aem short ram intake. What can i do to pass??????????

I know, why did he fail emissions? Is emissions testing in NJ similar to PA? Did you fail the ASM test?

in all honesty i went back like 5 times after getting a new radiator and it failed emissions with the smallest percentage. might wanna go to a gas station that certifies and allows them to inspect and throw the guy like 75 bucks for his time

93 would get you the sniffer test which is impossible to cover up unless they run a different car which you arent gonna find unless you end up knowing someone. Is there a cat on the car? What about the EVAP system? Im sure something is missing from the swap that would cause it to fail the sniffer. Im surprized you didnt fail for the intake.

Can you type out from the inspection report what you failed for exactly? Im curious if it was emissions levels or equipment.

You prob failed for NOX. When i was trying to get my g/f del sol to pass in NJ I failed a bunch of times for NOX. I ran three heat range colder plugs, dumped in some more fuel and retarded the timing. High NOX is caused by high EGT's lower the EGT and your NOX lowers. Went back through and passed.

when i was havin probs in my civic back in the day i ran a gallon of some denatured alcohol mixed with about a 1/4 tank of gas, i dont know how good or bad that can be but i was desperate to get it to pass and somebody said it would work, and it did....this was on a 91 si with a b16
