thanks! aluminum is not something i was ever good at, but ive been trying to weld scraps while im home of the weekends to improve.
secure me a lift and a big box of bends! lol In a "update" i have finally figured out how to solve this oil filter issue i have. I did not realize the the GM GTO oil pan moves the filter to the front of the engine. so i will probably swap the canton out for that and try to sell it and the adapters. The only down side is the engine may need to come out, not sure if i can remove the pan with the engine in the car, also not sure if the gto pan will fit without needing to be notched for the subframe. in other news, it looks like my dad is offering to give up his garage bay while im home for winter break. sometimes i think he wants to drive it more than i do and for just because, here is the SAE baja frame I've been designing in solidworks for this years competition (sorry for the poor cell phone pic) and here is some "roll cage" weld, since the lab instructor doesn't believe i can tig weld |

hey look, an update?!
i bought the gto oil pan, and cut that thing up then i welded it and stuck it on the engine with plenty of rtv lost about a quart of capacity in the process, but ill probably run an extra big oil filter and maybe stuff a little extra in there, i would be happy with a total of 5 quarts then i put that junk back in made a new trans cross member because the old one didnt allow for the engine and transmission to be removed separately (needs shorter bolts) and then i welded up a custom muffler for the exhaust also sent the engine harness out to be repaired, and got some birthday money to start shopping for a new fuel system. 3 weeks of school to go, wahoo. |

hey..... PSI called, harness is in good shape, so im going to see about swapping ecus and checking to make sure all my grounds are correct. gonna hopefully pull the gas tank to sump it this weekend, and then when xmas rolls around, buy the supplies to run a 255 inline pump and -6 braided AN line. maybe itll run before the new year, and hopefully pulling the gas tank isnt a total bitch

All I want when I look at this thread is a nice, big, rolling burnout. Keep it up.

ordered my fuel junk. 15 gallon summit racing fuel cell, -6 an line and fittings, walbro 255lph in line pump and corvette regulator/filter combo. Unfortunately the company i ordered the pump from isnt shipping it until tomorrow, even though i ordered about a week ago. At this point the 50$ saved wasn't worth the time... Hopefully ill have that all in soon.
install was pretty simple and is undetectable from outside the car, eventually ill track down a hood and pick up a low profile intake. keep that sleeper dream alive Last edited by rocknrace03; 01-01-2015 at 11:01 PM. |

Two thoughts:
1) Fuel cell lookin schmexy 2) You desperately need a set of 15" basketweaves with a fattie tire. Like this. Just smaller wheel, less 3 piece.... And more ratrod Last edited by blue91lx; 01-03-2015 at 10:59 AM. |

mmmm those wheels are nice. How much do they normally charge for a set of those. also, where would be a good place to list the factory gas tank? its in fairly good shape with only one small hole in the vent nipple. I feel it would be a shame to just scrap

ehhhhh i dont know about that. its a pretty big pile of not running junk
in other news, got some more things in today. Fuel line mounting clamps, misc AN fittings, and Fuel level & Boost/Vacuum Gauges. Gauges were cheap, but have good reviews, hopefully going to cut up a used gauge cluster and fit all these in for a "cleaner" look still waiting on my fuel pump, hopefully i can have this thing idling again before i leave for school next week |

I would sell that ish on R3V or Bimmerforums. I think someone would scoop it up. Edit: Just join R3V. That's my main BMW forum. I think people would dig your build too. Bimmerforums is made up of pretentious McDouchers. Last edited by blue91lx; 01-07-2015 at 12:09 PM. |

got my fuel pump in, that only took forever.
should be good for ~500whp also got my euro "parts" cluster in. Shipping from europe to here absolutely destroyed this thing, the box looked like it was landed on by Lotos's F1 Hauler during their jump stun. I started to play around with it and making my aftermarket gauges fit. I dont think ill be able to have the stock speedo though, so ill have to search for a "cheap" speedometer that will work with the truck PCM. |

Awesome updates!!!...im still no too fond of the hood but the workmanship is great. I have a walbro inline pump on my datsun and it is really loud (hate it), i'm not sure if its suppose to be like that or not. Let me know how yours works out.
If not maybe an aeromotive will do. |
