Nice vette! I just picked up a yellow 2006 Z06 for this season's time attack car. We'll be running it in the Real Time Attack and Global Time Attack series. They're great platforms to build on!

So with the weather being so nice I have finally got to start pushing the car in the twisties. I have quickly realized the need to hold me and my passenger in place so I'll be researching racing seats, brackets, harness, and a harness bar. Hopefully will have them by the end of summer.

yeah man, I have the same issue and I'm smaller than you. I find myself bracing myself with my legs and knees while trying to hang on for dear life. I've been looking at Corbeau A4's for some time. Best I found for them with seat rails was about $1100 for the pair shipped to my door. I could get you the vendor that gave me that price if you want (microsuede material). A good harness bar from what I've seen from the racing section is the Hardbar Harness bar. There's actually one for sale in the F/S section right now I believe somewhere around $250.

Not sure what your waist size is but you may need the A4 wide. The normal ones I believe only fit a 34-36'' waist comfortably and I'm around a 34" waist right now.

I'd def get the wide since its a DD. The HardBar one is the one I was looking at also. Seems to be the best.

btw, there's a poker run out in PA in your area in late april. Was thinking of hitting that up, would be nice to drive our cars around and such. I believe it was posted on the vette forums.

im gonna go ahead and give that a huge negative! being that i've seen you current wife, I'm not too worried about you being able to bang my mom, since she would see the yellow corvette and agree with my original statement.

I noticed my tires weren't wearing evenly. Finally got a chance to get the car in the air tonight. All bushing are tight and struts/shocks are good. Only thing left is to do an alignment. Me and my friend will be doing that tomorrow afternoon.

I'll be ordering some tires all around in the very near future. Just gotta decide if I want some Conti DWS since I drive year round or some DWs and just baby it in the cold.

holy cow that's really uneven. If it makes you feel any better, it's not unheard of for vettes to go out of alignment spec randomly....especially if you drive spiritedly often....which I know you do....as do I lol.

It's def something I know I need to pay more attention to now. The only good thing.. even the sides that isn't messed up is about 1/32 from the wear bars so it isn't like I killed a fresh tire. The rears are wearing perfectly even and have about 3/32 left somehow... even after me and Carmine did a bunch of burnouts at OCMD.

Guess I get to enjoy smoking the rears out really soon!

Another possible tire to look into is the General G-Max AS-03, they're a cousin to the DWS and Tirerack rates them as being pretty much the same in the winter conditions as the DWS and they have a slightly stronger sidewall.

The only all-season that comes big enough for me is the DWS.

The DWS's are amazing tires. Great in the rain and pretty damn good in the snow.

I'm still torn on summer VS AS.

I want summer for the traction but with the amount of miles a year I drive I will be going through 2 sets a year.

The DWS will likely last me 2 years.

I'm leaning toward DWS for the simple fact its a DD and I'd still like to enjoy the car while its cool outside rather then having to pussy foot it.

I lost track of the current mileage on my DWS's. The two on the front of the car are probably close to 35,000 miles on them now. They do last a long time. If I was going to buy a set of summer tires now, I'd either get the DW's or the Pilot Super Sports.
