Tech Inspection at Atco for test and tune

First off does your car need to be muffled ?

Secondly I have my battery located in the trunk of the car. Im using a bracket designed for this battery, its an odyssey pc680. The battery is a dry cell. Right now im not using any type of box around it, do i still need a box even though its a dry cell and its mounted securly ? Is Atco strict about that stuff ? Would i get away with it ?

You shouldn't have a problem getting into the pits. How loud is the car? For test and tune I've never seen them do any kind of inspection.

+1 Usually test and tune for street cars is for muffled vehicles only, but they never look at my car when I go so you should be good.

My friend always runs cutouts open at Atco no problems. They never checked anything on my car and just asked if I had a helmet.

That should never pass tech with a battery mounted like that.

it needs to be mounted in a approved battery box with a switch in the back of the car to shut it off if you crash. I got threw tech the one day, but got kicked after having a pass to fast without a roll cage. I say its a hit or miss shot. they never even opened my hood that day and you can't see my battery is in the back. you may get by without a problem.
